#373, "Father's Day Plans"
|
Guys,
Any of you have special plans for Father's day, like getting away with the Mrs?
That's what Grace and I plan to do if our work cooperates. It's more her job than mine. Two nights in a plus Washington D.C. hotel with Room service. Just the two of us.
I'm looking forward to it, DW and I have had so little time for each other since the platoon was born last December. This is all I really want for Father's Day and my birthday which is next week.
Of course DW will try to watch the US Open golf all day Sunday if I let her. I might be able to tear her away from it.

My MIL and SIL will watch the kids for the time Grace and I are gone.
That should have been a plush Washinton DC hotel not plus.

considering I don't know when father's day is yet (that's too far in advance - focused on camping trip right now), I have no plans. Probably like every other sunday - church, picnic, hang out with kiddos, go to bed.

Our wedding anniversary is 6-16 and my parents offered to watch the kids overnight (3 months old) and put us up in a hotel as their gift. I said "I'm not even gonna ask how you're going to manage a 10p, 2a and 6a feeding -- We Accept Your Offer."
Counting the days to June 20.

DW told me last night not to make plans, she has something already planned. Hopefully it includes the hammock and a couple micro-brews for at least an hour or two.

My DW has to go on a four day work-related trip June 11-14 so our getaway is on hold for now.
I will still have the same problem of prying my DW away from the golf all day.
Today is my 40th birthday. Considering we have newborn triplets, that saying is true. "Life really begins at 40."
