#427, "hello"

Hi all,
It's my first time posting here. My DW is 26 weeks pregnant & has been doing most of the on-line networking until now. The info she's gotten thru TC has been invaluable. I've been kind of on the non-stop go go go since we got the news, as I was working part-time & going to grad school, in a tizzy to find a f/t job before the missus went on bedrest. We've got all that accomplished, but now I'm working f/t at work & at home & struggling to keep her prone & arrange things for her & having semi-nightmares about her water breaking & have no time for my normal support networks & means of catharses...So I think it's about time I checked in here...I don't really have a question...From what I understand, this is par for the course...But I do know that I have to make sure I don't go nuts & learn a little balance before they even get here...So, hi all. Hope to be checking in periodically.

Chris,
Welcome and congratulations. Sounds like you've been busy getting everything ready and tying up loose ends. You're wise to do it now while you have time. You'll probably be holding your little ones within then next few months and all the hustle and bustle will have been worth it. Keep DW as comfortable as possible, if she's already on bedrest, give her all the support you can. If you have any questions or just need to vent, drop a note, there are plenty of great guys here who have been through this before and are always willing to help out. Good luck and God bless.

Welcome aboard. 26 weeks, good job!
My wife went into hospital at about that time, which was the proverbial calm before the storm. I felt the busiest time for me was when she was on home bed rest, making sure she drank enough water, got enough food, had a few visitors, etc. I also was able to get things straightened out, such as with nursery, etc.
Search archives for needed items, advice, etc. And by all means post with your Q's ! Good luck!

Chris,

Welcome aboard! Conratulations on your trips. At 26 weeks it sounds like you have things well in control (better than I did anyway). At this stage you are nearly there but the hardest part of the pregnancy is ahead for your wife. You are right to seek balance because your primary focus must be on keeping her spirits up and helping her through the difficulties (mental and physical) ahead.

Don't hesitate to lean on us. Many have been where you are now. Many others are going through it with you. Feel free to contact us with any question or concerns.

Regards,

John

Chris,

Welcome to the forum. This is a great place for advise and to do the occasional vent if needed.

Biggest job right now is to see to your DW. She is going to have her moments good and bad, best advise always communicate with her and be patient. My DW went to 33.2 weeks most of which was uneventful except a brief PTL episode. I think it was my Grace's wakeup call to slow down, she did and did. I am wishing both of you the same.
