#444, "Any Golf Fans Out There?"

US Open is in full swing. Is it a certainty Tiger will win? Top 3 for sure in my mind. Any other contenders besides the usual suspects? Everywhere I look, the experts pick Els, Singh and Mickelson. Anybody ever go out on a limb? How about Sluman or Funk. A lot of TV coverage ahead of us. Should be good watchin'!

DW would be watching it right now if she wasn't out of town on business. She hopes Tiger doesn't win, kind of funny considering both of them went to and played for Stanford. I have learned in the less the two years I known Grace how strong that bind is. Truthfully I think she is just tired of Tiger and more recently the Annika hype.
Besides the people you mentioned, I got to guess anyone in the top 40-50 money winners would have to be reckoned with. Taking that into consideration if you want someone other than the obvious four or five look for Justin Leonard, Scott Hoch or Jim Furyk.
The DW gets back on Saturday night. She will be wanting to celebrate Father's Day by her watching the golf all day. Got to go with the flow.

How about Tom Watson! What a great story. I hope he can keep it going but I doubt it. Gotta root for the KC man. Justin Leonard looks to be playing well also. I'm also anti-Tiger....he is amazing though.

I am a "Lefty" fan. I like to see him do well. I do like the Tom Watson story. Would be neat to see him finish well. I like Tiger, but I really only care to see him make the BIG comeback win after being down several strokes. I am not much into watching him dominate the whole tournament.

OK, get out the cootie spray! But had to share with you boys my brother's big moment at the US Open. He works for Elexon (the sponsor of Jim Furyk) and has met & golfed with Furyk before. After the Open, he was invited back to Furyk's house for the celebration party, and drank champagne out of the US Open trophy. He was also the beer gopher for Furyk's dad yesterday (who apparently enjoyed more than a few cold ones, celebrating his son's victory!) My brother missed his plane today due to too much celebration last night, but in all, he said it was definitely a moment to remember!
