#699, "Heart Warming Moment"

Can I share some emotion here? My solo baby time is from 6-11 pm or whenever I get them in bed. That's my wife's "break" time. That's also the kid's fussy time (4 months old). Last night, I had them all lying on a blanket, talking to them (OK, it was more like cooing and babbling). And they were all smiling and laughing. A first for this triplet dad.

Let's do it again tonight during the NBA draft!

Greg,

Those moments are the ones that make us understand the value of the ordeal. They are your reward! Enjoy...

Now for one of my own. Our BBG trips are 21 months old. The other day they were amusing themselves in the living room when one of the boys tripped, bonked his head on a toy, and began to cry. I was getting up to go to him when DD, Mary, scooted across the room and hugged him and patted his head. I guess her mother's instinct is taking over early but it was special to see...

Regards,

John

Full,

mine are also that age (well 20 months) but all boys. Mine react to a similar situation more in a way of, "you done with that toy?" and then they go grab it usually escalating the problem.

TD,

Ours mix it up pretty good too. They are not at all good at sharing. Both of the boys pick on Mary (take stuff away from her). And they fight each other like wildcats for things. Sometimes one of the boys and Mary will fight over something until they are exhausted (the boys are stronger but Mary weighs the most so it is usually a good match). Then the non-combatant boy will sneak in and swipe it from both of them. It is a complex situatiojn being a triplet I guess...

Actually, I'm beginning to worry about the sharing issue. They are becomeing old enough to begin training but it is difficult to do with three. It is tempting to just give one of each thing to each baby to avoid problems but I suspect that this will lead to serious difficulties later. How are you handling this?

Regards,

John

We have a sharing problem too. I guess all kids go thru it.
I found that getting everyone the same thing doe's not really work.
it makes it easier just because there is another one around, but the problem lies with they have it and I don't so I will take it even tho there is one right behind me. Some day they will figure it out it will just take a little time.
