Here are a few pics of our crew GGG (2yrs 9 months) The first 2 pics show their "rewards" for going on the potty. I asked Alexis, who would she want me to make her when she finally started to poop on the potty and she said Mr. Krabs. So here is the whole crew in their room. I cut these out of a sheet of plywood and painted them with crafft paint form Wal-Mart. I found it really therapeutic to do.

The last pic is of the new swing set. What a nightmare! Guy advice here: NEVER BUY A HEDSTROM SWING SET. Bad directions, bad labeling, missing parts etc.

But they seem to love it. Now if it would only stop raining so they can use it.

Great looking girls. I like the Sponge Bob art as well. Nice job. I know nothing about swingsets other than Rainbows are REALLY expensive. I plan to build my own when the time comes. My only concern is what to use. Pressure treated lumber is going to be taken off the market either late this year or early next year.....of course they say that was dangerous for kids too. Cedar is light weight, but I am concerned about the durability. I am toying with the idea of trying to find plastic fittings to make a PVC (or similar product) set.....only time will tell.

Trip, I built the girls a water and sand table using PVC. (if you're interested I'll get a pic)
It is really cheap and pretty durable. If you do use it I'd buy the thickest I could get. I've thought about making a climber/monkey bar kinda deal for them out of PVC.

I'd like to see pics of the sandbox. If I were to do it, I would look for something in the 4" size. Not sure if PVC would be the best choice or not. I like the idea of using a PVC (or similar) material for the poles, then use some sort of metal bracket for all the connections. I would be afraid that the PVC joints would not be durable enough.

Here's 2 pics. I designed based on the size of the tubs. One was supposed to be for water, but they get too wet. The tubs were like $4 each. They are the kind that you keep stuff in under your bed

Trip, Did I just read on another post that you are a teacher too? Maybe it was something in those ed. classes that made us father trips. Damn Piaget! LOL

Bonzo, I'm a PVC Inventor too! I made a triplet stroller out of PVC pipes, 3 little tykes swings and lawnmower wheels and a set of swivel gate wheels. Total cost 110.00 and let me tell you, it was noisy rolling it across the parking lot, and I didn't make it quite tall enough, but the whole thing only weighed about 30 lbs, and the kids LOVED IT because the swings were set two in the back one in the front, and they could see EVERYTHING that was going on around them.

I also talked to my husband about making cubicles for my office out of PVC and Plexiglass. Plexiglass walls and table tops, with the HUGE added benefit that you could run all of the phone wires, and electrical wiring through the pipes instead of having them drape on the floor or hang down behind desks.

That sounds really cool. Please post a pic for all us "PVC mechanics" to check it out.

I love the idea for the cubicles

COOL! Aren't we triplet parents inventive. Necessity truly is the mother of invention.

I'll see if I can get some pictures of it taken. Unfortunately my digital camera was stolen so getting pictures online is a little more difficult these days.

It does have some balancing problems, but overall it gets the job done. I am going to redesign it so the balance is alot better by putting the handle grip right under the camera on a ball pivot.
