#135, "Are your triplets in school?"
|
The question in this post doesn't require a response here. But I have been reading the post on splitting or keeping your triplets together when they start school and decided to post a poll in the POLL PLACE FORUM in hopes that who have triplets already in Kindergarten or older would vote on what they did. I have enjoyed reading all of the different ways people have done this. And with girls who will be starting kindergarten in the fall, the responses have given me and my DH alot to think about. It is ALL good useful information.
Anyway if you have time, jump on over to the POLL PLACE FORUM and vote on what you did with your trio. Thanks!

I had to bump this up because I am fascinated by the results. In the regular boards the response always has seemed overly towards splitting them up but this poll is showing slightly more keeping them together. If you have children in school, especially older ones, please add your votes.

Kris, My triplets are not in K yet but did start in preschool 1 1/2 yrs ago when they were 2 1/2. Initially they were all going to the local High School where they were part of the child development class. There is only one class so they were all together. They did this for 3 month until their 3rd birthday in December when the 2 girls were reevaluated thru EI and determined to still need speech. I think they must have qualified them for addl services because both girls began the school dist. preschool program one year ago in Jan. Ryan did not qualify for any services so he still goes to the HS program and tho both girls go to the same school they are in different classrooms. They never ever complained or questioned why they could not be together. I was more worried about how they would be than they were. I was expecting tears and fears and there was not one. I was glad that they were not upset. It is so hard sometimes looking at them as individuals and not a team sometimes. Expecting them to want the same things and want to be together all the time. They just happen to be 3 little kids that happened to be born 30 seconds apart.
A part of me does want them in the same class in elementary school. Call me selfish, I dont care, but I have a hard time as it is keeping up with homework, conferences, etc. I will likely let the chips fall where they may, tho, but then again, I still have until Fall 05 to change my mind.

I would be interested to know how many of the votes were preschoolers as opposed to older kids (and how that affects the votes). Just curious too and I think I will pose this question as a thread under the poll...

**oops, just saw that the poll was titled "kindergarten and older", so never mind!!!!!!
