Moms & Dads, what is/was your MOST embarrassing moment...caused by your children? We're not talking about being pg & peeing on yerself...that's simply a pg-thing. I mean something your little darlings had a hand in. Could be something they SAID...or something they DID. One child...or ALL of your children, LOL.

At a store? In front of a neighbor? In front of company? At the IL's house? Funeral? Wedding? In church?

I am always joked with my kids when they are goofing around. I will often say something like "if you don't stop ...(tickling mommy or what ever) then I am going to beat you up" followed by tickles or whatever. All very fun for them.

So one day we are in the mall (they were around 2) and they are just being so silly. So I look at them and say, you better stop, you know with the special mommy face that tells the kids I am being silly with them. So of course all of them at the same time REALLY LOUD say, "don't beat us mommy, please". Packed mall, tons of people. I am sure you can just see the looks I got from all of the "perfect mothers" that were there. We left right then. LOL

Speaking of 'perfect mothers', I gotta tell you what happened to one of my twin sisters. The entire fam-damily were out to eat, after church...at a large family-style resturant. Young Miss Megan starts having a meltdown, Lesley escorts her to the ladies room for a time-out & a talk. Meg is even MORE put-out bcz she has to leave the table...and take "the walk"....so her howls are reaching higher as the walk lengthens, ok? <<WHY do they put the bathrooms at the BACK of the stores?!>>

They get to the bathroom, Meg is in an all-out scream, full blown. Lesley can't get her attention, so Les, using her STERN mommy voice, barks, "Megan, stop it!" and claps her hands TWICE, really hard, while barking "right now~!" with each clap.

A woman, in another bathroom STALL, yells out, "I'm a nurse and a Mandated Reporter!, if you hit that child one more time I'll call the police & DCFS!!!!".

Les was so shocked...Meg instantly shut up <LOL>. The woman was SERIOUSLY pissed...and thought Lesley was beating her daughter, LOL. Now, our family absolutely WILL spare the rod....however, this was NOT one of those times, LOL.

Les explained that she did NOT hit her daughter, that she, too, was a nurse & a Mandated Reporter...along with two more RN sisters, a MD BIL, a Pastor BIL, not to mention Foster Parents S&BIL who are sitting at our table...and they are ALL MANDATED REPORTERS! She explained that she did NOT smack her daughter, she clapped her HANDS.. thanks for the concern, but this particular instance was not her concern. They argued in the bathroom...this woman accusing Les of smacking Meg. Meg didn't make a PEEP! LOL

Les was SO distraught by this woman's high-handedness. The lady actually came to our TABLE & got snippy....oh, yes, she did do that! ROTF! It was not too pretty for a while, because, of course, we all rallied behind Les. We KNOW what kind of parent she is.

The lady was still mad when she left...looking as though she'd just let a child abuser 'get away', LOL.

Too funny. I can see something like that happening!!! LOL I always get the funny looks whenever I ask the kids if we need to go to the ladies room!
