#21848, "December 14, 2009 Monday Update!!!!"
Sun Dec-13-09 10:08 PM by Vaughn

I hope you all do not mind, but considering how busy we all are, I have written the Monday's Update questions in multiple choice form. Hopefully it will format nicely.

We are heading to Spokane for Christmas -- leaving Saturday morning, making the drive in two days -- spending the night on the road in Salem, OR at my cousin's (who I better call soon and confirm!) While no snow would be nice while on the road, the Boys are hoping for lots of snow while there.

While I did not plan it that way, all my answers to the below questions are "C".

Your Holiday stress level…

A) Ommmmmmm
B) What stress? My meds have kicked in nicely.
C) I’ll make it thru okay until the kids start school again (please hurry!)
D) Dh better lend a hand soon or he’s toast – burnt, no butter.
E) On my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god…

Your Christmas letters are...

A) Mailed out two weeks ago
B) In the mail
C) Now where are those envelopes? Stamps are how much?!
D) Still trying to figure out what to write
E) I think we’ll do an email letter this year…

Your Christmas tree is…

A) Cut by us from the forest/tree farm
B) Bought from a lot.
C) A Walmart/Costco/Sam’s Club/etc. plastic fantastic.
D) On fire.
E) Purely imaginary.

Your Christmas budget is...

A) On target
B) Mostly spent at Target
C) Strained
D) Seriously bent.
E) Rice and beans until February – you kids like rice and beans, right?

Your Christmas party will be...

A) At home
B) At friends
C) At relatives
D) On the road
E) Bah humbug!

Happy holidays!!!!!

Vaughn, Marianne and the ABC Boys

Yesterday we finally got our tree. Holy Fright! Dragging a tree through almost two feet of snow......uphill...both ways....I got my cardio for the weekend! So much fun though and the tree is beautiful!

Have a great week everyone!

Love the multiple choice format! Great job, Vaughn.

Your Holiday stress level…

E) On my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god…
How can two of your kids have NOTHING on their list. Last year, one had a 10-page single spaced list. This year, nothing! Things are harder if you have no ideas....

Your Christmas letters are...

A) Mailed out two weeks ago
Sent out about a week ago. I do cards only. Not creative enough to do a letter!

Your Christmas tree is…

C) A Walmart/Costco/Sam’s Club/etc. plastic fantastic.
Due to allergies, we have a great plastic tree! Pre-lit and easy to assemble. Love it!

Your Christmas budget is...

A) On target

Your Christmas party will be...

A) At home

Have a wonderful week, everyone!

Happy Holidays,

My triplets are home from college and HUNGRY!!! Aldi, here we come.
Let's not even mention the laundry...I made them take the Amtrack in hopes of avoiding this but they managed to drag it all home anyway.
Saying the appropriate Hail Mary for my ancient washer.

Your Holiday stress level is

Somewhere between "stop that incessant bickering" and "quit poking my Christmas candle, it does not itch." to "I'm renting a room at the Y, the house is all yours."

Your Christmas letters are...

You mean like the obnoxious one my righteous ex sister in law used to send? The one where she bragged about her wunderkinds to no end (and made it all up?) well ok, most of it. Funny, the kids turned out ok, but she left her husband and kids this past year.No one really knows her exact whereabouts. And I thought I was the black sheep bah bah

Never did one.

Didn't even do cards this year. sigh. Triplet two broke the camera on her very sandy spring break trip.

Your Christmas tree is…

Purloined from the very expensive suburban tree lot where daughter number one works for FREE!! And it isn't even dead...amazing. Such are the perks of having a pine sap covered employed triplet. Saved my neighbors pine that I had an eye on...

Your Christmas budget is...

I am trying to be good but check with me after I shop today (yes at Target, but we pronounce it Tar jay, has a swell upper class ring, dontcha think?). Bought lots of toys for the inner city toy drive(too many). Sadly, mine are too old for toys ,

Your Christmas party will be...

Ideal: At home watching a Christmas Story and It's a Wonderful Life sipping Bailey's.

Reality: Stuffing the same four bickering teens in my Kia Korea to drive to Wisc on Christmas to see parents.Probably in a blinding snow storm How's that for a party. Pass that Tom and Jerry with extra rum, k?

Merry Christmas fellow multiple parents!

Tami "shh, I think mom is going thru the change..."

mom to

Vicki 19 wreath maker extraordinaire and chief candle poker

Rebecca 19 "guess what mom I switched my major to something totally unmarketable upon graduation

Amanda 19 "is there anything to eat in this place??(read:that is no longer moving or nailed down?)"

Mary 14 "all I want for Christmas is a cell phone with unlimited everything and a built in t.v. that does my algebra for me"

I remember the days of cutting our own tree The saw wouldn't have cut butter. Lot's of swearing (bad, the cut your own place is owned by Benedictine monks). I had almost forgotten about the dragging part...heart attack city. And then on the way home."is it falling off the roof yet?"
