Hi, Vaughn. The 6.5 earthquake was centered in your neck of the woods in Northern CA. Did you feel it? Any damage? Everyone OK?

The news reports seem to focus on minimal damage and minimal injuries (bumps and bruises).

We've had two earthquakes this week nearby - 3,5 and 4.5. No damage, just a jolt.

All is well in the Hutchins house...a few things knocked over. The fridge moved a bit -- time to vacuum behind it, I guess.

The boys and I were in Target when it hit. A lot of stuff flying off of shelves, but the building and fixtures stayed intact. Most quakes we get are big jolts -- this one was almost 30 seconds of rock and roll.

We kept our power and water -- some folks in the county will be without power for a couple days. Some houses off their foundations. Some 4.0+ aftershocks through the night, but nothing too bad.

Here is a map and list of quakes:

I'm glad to hear you and your family are ok and no major damage was done to your house.

Glad to hear all is well. We lived in So CA for a few years and I remember a few big ones and how "unfun" it was.
