Good morning. Am I the only one still having trouble typing 2010 vs. 2009? I've got to get into the hang of things!
It was a fairly easy weekend. No sports and only 1 child with a big homework load. Had 4 high schoolers filming a history video at our house all day. Nice kids. Hope the project works out well. The whole house was reorganized to make it seem like a 1920s home. Lots of sheets hanging to shut out the modern kitchen and plasma tv! LOL!
Here are a few questions to get us going this week.
1. What have you done for emergency preparedness? In CA, we have earthquakes but the entire country faces different challenges such as tornadoes, floods, freezing temps, etc.
2. How cold is it at your house?
3. What are your New Year's resolutions?
4. What is your favorite place to eat out for dinner? Your spouse's favorite restaurant?
5. How old are your vehicles?
Have a great week!

Good morning everyone!
1. What have you done for emergency preparedness? In CA, we have earthquakes but the entire country faces different challenges such as tornadoes, floods, freezing temps, etc. For tornadoes: Run like h*ll to the basement. Snowstorms/freezing temps: We keep blankets, snacks and flashlights in our vehicles.
2. How cold is it at your house? Yesterday the high was 18 degrees, today it's supposed to get to about 25.
3. What are your New Year's resolutions?. Eat better, stick with my current exercise routine, not sweat the small stuff, etc etc etc.
4. What is your favorite place to eat out for dinner? Your spouse's favorite restaurant? I'll go anywhere. Dh loves to go out for a good steak dinner.
5. How old are your vehicles? Don't laugh. My van is 12 years old and it's still going strong (knock on wood). Dh's is, I think 4yo? Or 5yo?. We plan on adding another vehicle to the family soon...dd gets her temps today!
The kids went back to school last Monday and dh returned to work as well. Hallelujah! I start school on Thursday and between that and my job, I will be busy, busy, busy. Hopefully the winter will fly by!
Dd gets her braces off next Tuesday! Finally. Just watch...there is a nasty stomach bug circulating through the schools. She'll end up catching it the night before. That's usually the way things happen for dd,lol!
Have a great week everyone!

Hi All - Happy 2010! No Sharon, you are not the only one having trouble with the year change - I signed the boys assignment pads 2009 a few times! That project sounds like fun - hope you took pics of your house
1. What have you done for emergency preparedness? In CA, we have earthquakes but the entire country faces different challenges such as tornadoes, floods, freezing temps, etc. Nothing special- though we always have a huge stockpile of food- guess we should think about that. Definitely need to stock up the cars better as we drive on remote roads a bit
2. How cold is it at your house? 11 now but supposed to warm up today for the next few days - 30 or so.
3. What are your New Year's resolutions? To spend more down time as a family
4. What is your favorite place to eat out for dinner? Your spouse's favorite restaurant? We hardly ever eat out but since we are mostly veggie (all but dh) - he loves a good steak - and I love a good salad bar
5. How old are your vehicles? One is 13 years old and we replaced our 10 yr old Suburban 2 yrs ago with a Mazda 5 - ugh! TOO SMALL!!!! Drives me nuts - but does get better gas mileage replaced it when the prices were going sky high- took on car payment with no real increase in money out/month
Hope you all are well. We are off to Stowe this weekend for 5 days with just the 5 of us (good start on the family resolution!) - a Christmas gift from the inlaws. I am SO excited to just ski, swim, play games... hang out
Have a nice long weekend everyone

1. What have you done for emergency preparedness? In CA, we have earthquakes but the entire country faces different challenges such as tornadoes, floods, freezing temps, etc. Tornado "room"--under staircase. Weather alert to keep me informed.
2. How cold is it at your house? Warming up, thank goodness... last week got down to 12'F (yuck). Will be about 60'F again this week.
3. What are your New Year's resolutions? lose weight, get more organized
4. What is your favorite place to eat out for dinner? Your spouse's favorite restaurant? Del Frisco's Steakhouse. DH's is sushi restaurant
5. How old are your vehicles? 10 yrs, 8 yrs. Will replace older vehicle soon, as it needs constant TLC. Mine will be driven until it must be towed away!

1. We mostly face hurricanes here, so we have candles, flashlights, batteries
2. It's in the 70's right now
3. Eat healthier
4. Local bbq place called Fat Daddy's or crossing to Mexico and having dinner there (it's really close by). DH- wherever they serve good steak or bbq
5. Mine is a 2005 that we bought this past summer; dh's is 1998
