Yup, it's official. My boys turn 13 today. Happy Birthday to S, B, & A.
I now have 4 teenage boys in the house. Everyone is taller than me. They eat more than I. I miss my babies but I love my young men.
No big birthday party. We're having lunch out with my folks. Each boy wanted a bigger gift rather than a party. One is getting sailing lessons, one is going paintballing, and another will be building his own telescope at the local observatory, including grinding his own lenses. Each boy is so different and they want such different things.
Also, they are going to their first boy/girl party tonight. They are growing up!

Wow! Happy Birthday to your teenagers! I can't believe how fast they all grow. I also cannot imagine my sons being taller than me in less than 2 years. Hope they had a great day.

Did you see "Zits" in the Sunday comics today? Amazing how they grow! I won't have to worry about the boys growing taller than me for a few more years!

Wow - what fun birthday gifts - love that they are so different and can explore their own stuff. A boy - girl party - you mean they will not always cringe when you mention a girl or see kissing on a movie (animated even!)?

One of my almost 13-year-olds has had a girlfriend for the past couple years -- so you never know!
I am the one that makes the funny comments when there is on-screen kissing -- the boys are use to it and just sort of roll their eyes. "Look, boys! That is some major face-sucking!"
