#22102, "Monday Updates, April 19, 2010"

Good morning everyone. Hope you survived tax day and that springtime weather has reached you.

It's a busy time around here. Just non-stop stuff - school projects for the kids, sports, homework, etc. And worst of all - the dishwasher stopped working. LOL! It's amazing how much you can take this simple device for granted. It's added so much work to the simple day-today- routines to keep the place decent. Pots, pans, dishes, serving bowls, etc. My dh spent Saturday tinkering with it - it's sorta of working but he has parts on order. If that doesn't fix it, we'll have to replace it.

Here are a few questions for the week.

1. How many books do you read at a time?

2. Do you always remember the recyclable bags for the supermarket or do you use paper/plastic?

3. What's for dinner?

4. What's your busy month for holidays? You know, the month where everything seems to hit.

5. Have you switched over the the spring clothes or is winter still raging in your area?

Have a great day.

1. How many books do you read at a time?

I am currently reading three. One is a novel, for fun, and the other two are both history/biographies - depends on what mood I am in when I sit down to read.

2. Do you always remember the recyclable bags for the
supermarket or do you use paper/plastic?

I TRY to remember to taken back to them van when I empty them so that way I don't forget, so more often than not I do have them

3. What's for dinner?

Spaghetti and meatballs - easy - DD is fixing dinner tonight

4. What's your busy month for holidays? You know, the month
where everything seems to hit.

Like most, December, but April/May hit hard for birthdays

5. Have you switched over the the spring clothes or is winter
still raging in your area?

well it depends on which day it is.. 80 one day, snow flurries the next... or DS wearing shorts to school and a jacket - lol

Yikes - it is amazing how dependent we have become on modern conveniences. I can feel your pain. Imagine if we had to carry water from the creek to wash dishes?!

1. How many books do you read at a time?
I never understood how dh could read 3-4 books at a time - now I am doing it - a spiritual book, parenting book, work related book - and occasionally I allow a novel but when I do it always wins out!

2. Do you always remember the recyclable bags for the supermarket or do you use paper/plastic?
Usually have them - but occasionally forget - dh and I switch cars so I can't keep them in there permanently.

3. What's for dinner?
Leftover ziti from boys family birthday party

4. What's your busy month for holidays? You know, the month where everything seems to hit.
We have lots of summer birthdays - all our nieces and nephews except 1, dh , me, 3 of our parents.....

5. Have you switched over the the spring clothes or is winter still raging in your area?
I switched my clothes over - though it snowed yesterday! I always keep fleeces handy anyway

I can't believe I am answering these questions on a Monday! It is a first for me. The boys party went well over the weekend - all the kids got along and the boys had a blast. Luckily the rain held off for periods so they had lots of outside play.

Have a great week everyone!

Howdy everyone,

I am back from our state MOMS convention and it was quite nice. So relaxing. But I am really tired. My roomie and I go from Thursday afternoon through Sunday early evening. We are trying to figure out how we can make it even longer. We are thinking about staying Sunday night also. That just means more time off from work though.

1. I usually only read one book at a time. Otherwise I forget what I have read and have to keep rereading portions. I also like the books that are collections of very short stories. I rarely ever read a novel.

2. I wish I could remember to bring my cloth bags into the store. I keep them in my glove compartment of my car, but then I forget to use them.

3. Don't ask. I threw some canned chicken into a casserole dish with some other stuff and that was it. I was too tired to think about food tonight.

4. December is not only Christmas, but Christmas Day is our oldest son's birthday. But actually July has 10 dates that I have to acknowledge with gifts or cards.

5. I switched over almost all of my clothes. But we still need long sleeves some days and 3/4 sleeves other days. Not to mention that there have been many short sleeve days. Man, I need a bigger closet. Thanks Sharon, for pointing that out.

2. Do you always remember the recyclable bags for the supermarket or do you use paper/plastic? I dont even own recycle bags - I always go plastic and then recycle those (i use them for everything!!)

3. What's for dinner? Tonight was pizza on the run. Yuck.

4. What's your busy month for holidays? You know, the month where everything seems to hit. March holds tons of family birthdays including my triplets' birthdays. Too.much.work.

5. Have you switched over the the spring clothes or is winter still raging in your area? All spring here!! The minute I can go flip flops, I dont look back.

1. How many books do you read at a time?

Two these days. One novel, One textbook for a course I am taking.

2. Do you always remember the recyclable bags for the supermarket or do you use paper/plastic?

I always keep them in the back of the van and I always remember they are in the back of the van when I am halfway through the check out lane.

3. What's for dinner?

Beef and broccoli (crockpot) and rice

4. What's your busy month for holidays? You know, the month where everything seems to hit.

Nov - lots of birthdays (triplets, hubby, mother, sister, 2 friends plus Thanksgiving and dad's anniversary)

5. Have you switched over the the spring clothes or is winter still raging in your area?

I wear Spring clothes pretty much all year. The only thing that I may change is the color of my shirt - from a gray t-shirt in winter to a pink t-shirt in spring.

Hi Everyone,

. How many books do you read at a time? One...and I enjoy every minute of it. Just finished Little Bee.

2. Do you always remember the recyclable bags for the supermarket or do you use paper/plastic? Use plastic and then reuse them for garbage and dog bags.

3. What's for dinner?

Burgers on the grill. Or frozen pizza if I am too tired to move.

4. What's your busy month for holidays? You know, the month where everything seems to hit.

We have five November b days right around and sometimes on Thanksgiving..and then we roll into December.

5. Have you switched over the the spring clothes or is winter still raging in your area?

Basically spring but we still have very cold mornings and late eves.
