#22169, "A little prayer for my doggie please"

Our dog hasn't eaten much the last few days. This morning she wouldn't even look at her food and started to pant and whine. I took her into the vet, they did an xray and she has something stuck in her colon. They are not sure what it is, but we are hoping it is just fragments of sticks (she loves chewing them). The vet did manage to pull some poop out of her and there were fragments visible. So for the next 24 hours I have to give her a doggie laxative, keep constant watch and dig through every boomer she passes. If she doesn't pass it in 24 hours we are looking at surgery. Crap.

I hope that your doggie feels better.

As a funny though, read your end quote to her and hopefully it will help.

I hope things all work out well for your little doggie. It's so hard when those we love are sick.

And you thought you did gross things being a mom to kids!

Thanks everyone! She's seems to be doing better. She finally ate her dinner with a little bit more gusto and things have "come out allright". If she eats well tomorrow, we'll breathe a sigh of relief..the dog included

Kim, I LOL when I read my own quote! "it takes action, perseverance, and facing your fears" I faced a few of MY fears digging through her doo! Gawd that's nasty I would rather be covered in kid vomit!

I will say a little prayer for your pup. It is tough when they are sick. My friend actually just spent $1000 on her dog after she ate a bunch of gum with xylitol in it! That was a year after having her stomach pumped from eating the easter baskets!!!!

Have fun with the poop - just a tad different from when you had 3 babes in diapers!
