It's almost Memorial Day. And just 3 1/2 weeks left of school. Both very good things around here. Time is flying by.
This weekend was a work-around-the-house weekend. DH fixed several shades in the house that weren't working properly. He also cleaned out the dreaded dresser filled with games. It's cleaned out completely and most of the games are sitting in my foyer waiting to go to Goodwill. All the pieces were found so everything is complete.
I worked with the boys to get their rooms cleaned up and cleared out. My oldest had tons of outgrown clothes that are now stored away for his brothers. We also figured out who needs new bathing suits this season. Lots of boring stuff but things that were needed. Two of my boys are tall and very leggy. Shorts and bathing suits don't fit quite right without a lot of searching so the fittings were important. Off to go shopping for them today. Although it's been so cold here in CA that no one is using suits yet!
Here are a few questions for everyone.
1. What's the weather in your area? Have you broken out the summer clothes yet?
2. Where have YOU lived in your life? Are you a one-town kind of person or have you lived around the globe?
3. How much sleep do you get per night? How much sleep WOULD you like?
4. Does your child's school do spring photos?
5. Have you planned any activities for summer?
Have a great day!

Sharon, I know about the tall, leggy boys. I have one and he hates trying clothes on at the store. Hard to shop with him.
My kids are done with school on Thursday. Thursday night is Senior Awards night at the high school and we got invitations for each of the kids saying that each will receive an award that night. That is very nice. We don't know what award yet, but it's just nice that all three will be getting something. Graduation ceremony is June 6, so that is consuming all of our time getting ready for it and for the party on June 19. Plus college orientation is June 10/11. Busy, busy.
1. What's the weather in your area? Have you broken out the summer clothes yet? Hot today. 85 degrees.
2. Where have YOU lived in your life? Are you a one-town kind of person or have you lived around the globe? Born and raised in same small town and now raising my kids here.
3. How much sleep do you get per night? How much sleep WOULD you like? 7 hours. just right.
4. Does your child's school do spring photos? no
5. Have you planned any activities for summer? graduation parties (ours and our friends), getting triplets ready for college. No vacations this year. Trish Dawson Mom to bgg (1992 @ 31 weeks)

Sharon, I have the same issues will all of my kids, except for Katie. She's a bit more short and stocky than the other three.
I am purging closets this weekend. I hate that job!
My semester is finally finished. Thank the Lord! It was a challenge to have to juggle school, the kids, work and household stuff. My stress level is back to normal now. I am proud of myself though. I managed to pull off a 4.0! An amazing feat since it's been forever since I've been in school and these were nursing courses.
1. What's the weather in your area? Have you broken out the summer clothes yet? It is HOT! Upper 80's yesterday and probably lower 90's today. It's supposed to be like this for the rest of the week. Shorts and tank tops for us! Love it!
2. Where have YOU lived in your life? Are you a one-town kind of person or have you lived around the globe? We have lived within a 10 mile radius all of our lives. This is such a wonderful area with great schools and I cannot imagine living anywhere else, especially since most of our family is close-by.
3. How much sleep do you get per night? How much sleep WOULD you like? About 7-8 hours. 8-9 hours would be better though.
4. Does your child's school do spring photos? No.
5. Have you planned any activities for summer? Nope. We are laying pretty low again.

1. What's the weather in your area? Have you broken out the summer clothes yet? some days warm, others still cool, warming up though
2. Where have YOU lived in your life? Are you a one-town kind of person or have you lived around the globe? I spent up to mid 30's in Texas. Since then, we have lived on the West Coast and the East Coast. A possible move out of state in the very near future.
3. How much sleep do you get per night? How much sleep WOULD you like? I get 7-8 - would like 9, but just not doable.
4. Does your child's school do spring photos? yes, but I don't buy them - too costly x3 for what you get (I do my own)
5. Have you planned any activities for summer? so far, church camp for the trio - otherwise, nothing (yet)

1. What's the weather in your area? Have you broken out the summer clothes yet? Yes! Very hot 80s and 90s. 2. Where have YOU lived in your life? Are you a one-town kind of person or have you lived around the globe?
In the same region, but several states.
3. How much sleep do you get per night? How much sleep WOULD you like?
7 hours. 8 hours.
4. Does your child's school do spring photos? Yes and then they preprint a several package that costs $45 and send them out to all the parents and it is up to you to return them or keep them. With 5 kids, that ain't happening and it seems like such a waste of paper and money.
5. Have you planned any activities for summer?
Going camping, scout camp, and a trip to Washington DC, Raleigh and Atlanta. Cindy Paul and Andrew Kristen, Rachel and Michael

1. What's the weather in your area? Have you broken out the summer clothes yet? Oh, summer clothes come out when we hit the 50's and today we hit almost 90, so yeah!!! I officially packed away a whole lot of winter clothes this weekend as well as all the in between coats and winter shoes...so excited. Winter here is brutal.
2. Where have YOU lived in your life? Are you a one-town kind of person or have you lived around the globe? I have lived in a 3 hour circle from where I grew up. Family is important to us and we could move out to the west coast for job advancement, but it isn't worth it for us.
3. How much sleep do you get per night? How much sleep WOULD you like? about 7 hours and I need about 12. 3 more days of school and I can be on my own sleep schedule for 3 months.
4. Does your child's school do spring photos? Yep, with a green screen and then imposed onto a bunch of fake backgrounds - yuck, we never buy them.
5. Have you planned any activities for summer? Going camping, scout camp and a trip to DC.

I hope everyone has a good week. School is winding down and that's a good thing, I guess. We are buying another car tomorrow for my son who is down in MS. It's a long story, but let's just say, it has to be done.
1. Our weather has been way above normal. It was 90 something today with very high humidity. Summer clothes are out and being worn. 2. I have lived in MN my whole life. But I hope to change that soon. When we got married we did move about 30 minutes away from where I grew up, but that is pretty much it. 3. I only get about 5 hours of sleep per night, but actually need 8+ hours per night. Then there is the continual waking up, usually 2-12 times per night. 4. n/a 5. Nothing yet for the summer. I will be working again, but I truly need a vacation. I need to get out of MN and see something other than MN landscape. mom to: Ryan 32 The Lawyer Jason 30 The Chief Meteorologist Chris 30 The College Student Tim 30 The college grad
I love hearing their versions of their childhood memories!!

1. What's the weather in your area? Have you broken out the summer clothes yet? One day it is warm and the next day I am glad that the sweaters are still out...
2. Where have YOU lived in your life? Are you a one-town kind of person or have you lived around the globe? I grew up in a small New England town, spent time in Europe, zipped across Asia and now am in a small Japanese city.
3. How much sleep do you get per night? How much sleep WOULD you like? About 6 or 7 hours but would like 8...
4. Does your child's school do spring photos? No school photos here.
5. Have you planned any activities for summer? Summer vacation is only 3 weeks- and school activities go on during that time I am still in the planning stage but with 4 schedules to work around (excluding my husband), it is hard.

Hi all,
1. Quite variable lately- some warmer days than others 2. Many places throughout my younger years growing-up, going to colleges, and for new experiences. If I had my druthers, I would live globally- 3. Roughly between 6-7 hours- I would like between 8-10 hours! 4. No 5. Yes- many- some solo, one special getaway with each kiddo (road trips mainly), a small family vacation, and a weekend retreat with dh. Mostly, I am looking forward to staying local with no extracurricular demands and running ragged.
Have a safe Memorial Day weekend, and peace to all those who grieve. 7mozz
