#22234, "My dh met a triplet law student"

Yesterday my dh told me that one of his office's summer law clerks is a triplet . . . apparently, one of the first triplets in the country (if not the first) conceived thru ivf in this country. My dh heard this second-hand. He would never ask such a personal question. But as we all know other people do all the time, and dh heard this from his coworkers yesterday.

So this morning I asked my dh if he had met the triplet, he said yes, a "boy." I asked dh if he had brothers or sisters, and dh answered he didn't know . . . he would ask him later. I'll be lucky if I get anymore details from dh, lol! I think I'm going to have to meet this triplet if I want to know more about him.

Anyway, I thought it was interesting and wanted to share.

Gloria

That is interesting! My dh is on a "need to know" basis, too. It's frustrating at times--like pulling taffy to get info out of that man!

Yesterday I had the kids at Baskin Robins and saw a mom from school that I don't really know, but have seen around. Anyway, she came over and started talking, asking the usual "are your girls twins?" questions. When I replied that they were actually boy-girl-girl triplets, she told me that she was also a triplet. Identical triplet girls and gave me her whole story--mom thought it was twins, how much the each weighed, names, birth order, etc. How different to get the scoop from a woman versus a man!LOL

It is funny how men are different. About 1 or 2 years after I had my triplets, the janitor where I worked (and who I spoke to on a daily basis) mentioned to me that his cousin had had triplets several years before. I couldn't believe that he had never mentioned it to me before, lol.

Well, my dh found out that the triplet who works in his office has 2 sisters. And he only asked him because I wanted to know, lol.

My DH is so un-interested in multiples that he avoids all Q&A to/from anyone on the topic. It's not the intrusiveness, but utter lack of interest! LOL Now if you want to talk work, World Cup, or technology...

Hope you get a chance to chat with the young man this summer. Might be a cool experience for the kids.

Tracey, busy mom to:
Michael (16)
Francesca (15)
Matt, Lexi, Gabi (13)
AFS exchange student Alice (17)
