#22376, "Monday Updates, September 20, 2010"

Good morning everyone. No, I haven't lost my mind. I'm posting Sunday evening because my Monday is busy.

Things are chugging along here. Busy with the boys' activities: rock climbing, aikido, water polo, and everything else. Flu shots were being given at our medical office today so we went over and all six of us received our vaccinations. Yard work, laundry, and dinner rounded up our day.

I'm breaking tradition this year and not buying any school portraits for my trio. While I will be buying senior portraits for my oldest (how did he get so old and so handsome!), I just can't bring myself to pay for the 8th grade photos. The smallest photo package is $24 for 2 wallets and 4 "half wallets." Multiply that times 3. And that doesn't include retouching. I just took great photos of them on our vacation and can't bring myself to get these photos that are dubious in quality each year. For example, why do they take photos AFTER PE class? Who needs hot, sweaty pics?!

Here are a few questions to start us off this week.

1.How many credit cards do you have?

2. Do you carry cash on you or rely on credit/debit cards? Do you carry your checkbook?

3. What foreign country would you like to visit?

4. What foreign languages do you speak?

5. Do you color your hair? Vaughn, I'm dying to know!

Have a great day, everyone.

Good morning!

1.How many credit cards do you have? 3

2. Do you carry cash on you or rely on credit/debit cards? Do you carry your checkbook? I usually use debit, but pay most of my utility bills via check.

3. What foreign country would you like to visit? Australia!

4. What foreign languages do you speak? None

5. Do you color your hair? Vaughn, I'm dying to know! Yes.

Not much new in this household, which is a good thing!

Dh and I celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary on thursday. Boy, times does fly!

I gave a week-end photography workshop down in Hayward (SF Bay Area) this past weekend -- very exhausting and worthwhile.

Looks like something is happening finally on the divorce scene. Not quite sure what -- it seems that her lawyer wants to go directly to trial with no settlement offer.

1.How many credit cards do you have? Two -- one personal and one I use for my photo business.

2. Rarely carry the checkbook, and about half/half with cash and debit card.

3. Iceland -- to photograph.

4. I am learning Teenager. I use to know it, but I haven't used it for so long that it appears that I need to start all over again...whatever...

5. What hair? LOL! Actually the gray in my beard is quite distinctive. And I wear a baseball-style cap a lot to keep the very top of my head from getting sunburned.

1.How many credit cards do you have?
4 but I don't use them often

2. Do you carry cash on you or rely on credit/debit cards? Do you carry your checkbook?
I mostly carry cash. The check book stays at home for paying bills (from the credit cards!)

3. What foreign country would you like to visit?
Ireland

4. What foreign languages do you speak?
German but no longer fluent

5. Do you color your hair?
YES! I got my first gray/white hair at 23, now I am 100% white! In the summer I leave it and am a platinum blonde, in the winter I don't care to be that shocking so dye it a medium golden blonde.

I forgot to comment on the school pictures thing.

I stopped buying school pictures too.
The pictures themselves were OK, I just didn't like the packages. Why do they think we need 3 8x10's??
I much prefer getting pics sone elswhere and just getting the sizes I need for a fraction of the cost. Now if I could just convince the studios not to limit their coupons to one per family....

3. What foreign country would you like to visit? I so badly want to go to Italy.

4. What foreign languages do you speak? Nothing

5. Do you color your hair? Every 6 weeks...I am so grey!!!

Hi to everyone. I have been so busy being back to work that I keep forgetting to drop in here to say "hi".

1. We have quite a few credit cards, but we don't use any of them. We did when the kids were growing up, but not any more.

2. I carry a small amount of cash on me. I keep emergency dollars stashed in my purse. But I like to use my debit card. I am a bookkeeper at heart and like to keep track of everything I spend in the checkbook register.

3. Holland is the place I would like to go. I am not sure why, but I would like to visit there.

4. I do not speak anything but English. I started learning American Sign Language, but then didn't use it enough to remember most of it.

5. I do color my hair. I foil it with low lights and hi lights. My stylist does a great job for me.
