We're 1/3 through October! I find that absolutely shocking. The time is flying by so fast.

Last week, we replaced the window tinting on our old Jeep. It was cracking and bubbling and looked just terrible. We're going to keep this vehicle for a long time because having the old car for the kids to drive keeps our insurance rates very low. The tint job turned out GREAT! At least it doesn't look quite as shabby. Now, if the paint didn't look so bad...

And I'm getting old. The orthopedist told me my shoulder problems happen a lot at my "age". Lovely. If I'm falling apart now, what happens when I hit 50! My shoulder has been causing me a lot of pain. It's tendinitis/bursitis - a lovely catch-all problem. Had a cortisone shot and expected relief. None. Guess that happens when you are old..

Here are a few questions for this week.

1. Have you started thinking about Christmas cards yet? The stores around here are discounting Halloween stuff already and Christmas/holiday decor is in full swing.

2. How many pairs of shoes do you own?

3. Are you a Starbucks, Peet's or local coffeehouse fan? If so, why do you like a particular place?

4. Do you have a go-to meal you use for bringing to friends that need a meal?

5. Do you read books or have you switched to an e-reader like the Nook or Kindle?

Have a great week.

We had an awesome family day yesterday visiting the Apple Festival and a huge corn maze in the north Georgia mountains. It was really warm and sunny in the mid-to-upper 80's so it's hard to believe it's mid-October.

Here are a few questions for this week.

1. Have you started thinking about Christmas cards yet? The stores around here are discounting Halloween stuff already and Christmas/holiday decor is in full swing.

No, we had lunch at Cracker Barrel yesterday and Christmas decorations were more prominant than Halloween or Thanksgiving. We didn't have pictures made of the family or kids this year so we'll be doing some impromptu photos somewhere along the line for Christmas cards.

2. How many pairs of shoes do you own?

How many do I own or how many do I wear regularly ? Too many!

3. Are you a Starbucks, Peet's or local coffeehouse fan? If so, why do you like a particular place?

Stbxaholic here - It's like Cheers - I can show up and everybody knows my name and my high maintenance drink from memory!

4. Do you have a go-to meal you use for bringing to friends that need a meal?

We usually opt for home cooked comfort foods - southern style.

5. Do you read books or have you switched to an e-reader like the Nook or Kindle?

Love my Kindle!

I've been so out of the loop here because we've had some big changes in our lives. Firstly, we have moved again, this time it was a really big move. We have moved to Alberta Canada. DH is Canadian and with the US economy so bad we literally had no work for our company and had to move to where we could find some. It's been a big project getting here and getting settled in. I'm still in the process of getting Permenant Residency here. It took us quite awhile to find a house where we wanted to be, so we were living with the inlaws for several months. We sold most of our furniture and lots of other things before moving, so that was a huge project before we left. We are starting to feel like normal again on this end.

I hope everyone here has been doing well.

1. Have you started thinking about Christmas cards yet? The stores around here are discounting Halloween stuff already and Christmas/holiday decor is in full swing. Nope, haven't even thought of this yet.

2. How many pairs of shoes do you own? About 20

3. Are you a Starbucks, Peet's or local coffeehouse fan? If so, why do you like a particular place? Don't drink coffee

4. Do you have a go-to meal you use for bringing to friends that need a meal? Lasagna

5. Do you read books or have you switched to an e-reader like the Nook or Kindle? I'd love an e-reader, but can't afford one right now, so I stick with books, mostly from the library.

The weather has been fantastic lately. Temps in the 60's and sunny skies. I took the dog for a walk through the woods this morning and the smell of fall was in the air. Nothing like crunching through freshly fallen, colorful leaves. The contrast of the colorful leaves left on the trees to the deep blue skies is absolutely breathtaking. Or course, I forgot to bring my dang camera!

Sharon, I can relate. My lower back has been giving me problems again. I can't do my Group Power weight lifting class any longer because my back pain always flares up. So, I've been sticking to regular weight circuit training and the aid of a personal trainer who has experience with clients with similar issues. I really miss that class though. I get so ticked off when my back flares up. It seems that when your back hurts, nothing feels good. From the Rolling Stones "Mother's Little Helper"---"What a drag it is getting old."

1. Have you started thinking about Christmas cards yet? The stores around here are discounting Halloween stuff already and Christmas/holiday decor is in full swing. No. I haven't done them for about 2 years so if I think of it in time, maybe this year. I really should though.

2. How many pairs of shoes do you own? Too many to count. I really should start weeding through them and toss some out.

3. Are you a Starbucks, Peet's or local coffeehouse fan? If so, why do you like a particular place? We have a FANTASTIC local coffeehouse. Cozy furniture in front of a fireplace, soft classical music playing in the background and the yummiest pastries.

4. Do you have a go-to meal you use for bringing to friends that need a meal? I try to make something different each time. I meet friends there once a month. We meet around 9am and don't leave until 11am. Wonderful "me time"!

5. Do you read books or have you switched to an e-reader like the Nook or Kindle? Definately sticking to books. For me another electronic device is just something that's gonna give me "issues".LOL! I'm not very high-tech,lol!

Have a great week everyone!

Oh - your description of fall is making me envious!

I answered the christmas question generally - not cards. I am sad we will probably not do cards this year as it would be expensive to mail to our friends/family in US. Will do an ecard instead.
