#22413, "What's tickin' you off Thursday........."
|
In place of Monday Updates and Whiny Wednesday, I thought I would start a thread for "Ticked off on Thursday" LOL! In other words, I'm having a stupid week, lol!
So, feel free to vent about anything, no matter how big or small that really has your undies in a bundle right now.
Totally frustrated with spring term registration. Argh. I am unable to officially enroll until 1pm today and one of my classes only has 3 seats available. If I am unable to get into this class, I cannot take my other classes. This class is a pre/co-requisite of my other classes. I am FRUSTRATED especially since there is nothing I can really do about it. This will put my graduation date one semester later than anticipated. I ain't getting any younger and I am motivated/anxious to get this diploma. I know, there are worse things...but....sigh. Wish me luck.
Minor frustration: My classes are on-line. We have been having issues with losing our internet connection. OF COURSE, as I was submitting a BIG exam for one of my courses, the connection was lost and I lost all of my answers and was locked out of the system. Talk about a PITA. Thankfully, my instructor reset the system for me and I was able to re-take the exam. Still waiting to see my grade. But that put me two days behind in this class. Bummer. Guess what I am doing all weekend? My internet provider is gonna be getting a call tomorrow. Hmph...knowing the luck I'm having this week, my connection will be lost as I am registering for my classes, lol! I think I will slit my wrists if that happens. JK, of course!
To put the icing on the cake, I have been dealing with some female health issues. I guess this should be the actual cake, lol! I had some tests last week and the final one is tomorrow morning. Hoping it's nothing major and my common sense is telling me that it's gonna be ok. Gol dang it. Sometimes I really hate being a woman. As far as I am concerned, they can take "it" all out.
Thanks for "listening" to my pity party.

Computer troubles are so frustrating, aren't they? My husband is our house IT manager and he hates that role!
Love the Ticked Off Tuesday title!
I'm ticked off at credit card fraud. Happened to check out VISA balance and saw two small charges (<$10) for Itunes. It wasn't done by my boys since we use gift cards for the charges, not credit cards. The charges don't appear on our Itunes account, either.
Reported the fraud, got 2 new cards today. But now the work begins. Because some stupid idiot used our cards, I have HOURS of work ahead of me to give out our new number. Try calling your cable company (ours bills us directly to our cc # each month). It took 45 minutes to change a single credit card #! Insane. I have at least 10 more companies to call and I'm just dreading it.
Come on people - something must be ticking you off today?

DIVORCE!!!!
Gad, Marianne and her lawyer love picking nits!
On the positive side I was a little late for work this morning (no one keep tabs). I washed a bunch of towels, set the boys off to school and got ready to go to work. The last thing I did before leaving the house was to get the towels out of the drier. As I carried them into the living room, I thought, "What the heck." and did what I do for the boys -- I laid on the couch and covered my self with the warm towels -- heavenly! No wonder why the boys have always ooohhed and aaawwed when I did it to them!
I had to force myself to get back up, jump on the bicycle and get tto work!

Oh, yes. Snuggling up with warm-fresh-out-of-the-dryer towels is wonderful! "Just remember, you can do anything you set your mind to, but it takes action, perseverance, and facing your fears."-- Gillian Anderson

I'm a day late, but...
I hate cell phone companies. Our cells got turned off because we had reached our spending cap. We have not yet received the October bill which caused the bills to exceed the cap in the first place, and no warning from Virgin Mobile regarding the impending doom. I tried several methods of paying these bills after they were turned off. You have to use a Visa/MC neither of which we own (we don't use them so we don't have any of them). In Canada a debit card is not like a credit card, so couldn't use that. When I tried calling to use my inlaws card, after wiating 20 minutes, I got hung up on. So I went to the bank and paid the bill in cash. Then I called VM to report the payment and they let me know that unless you pay with a credit card it takes 3-5 biz days for the payment to post to them, so the phones won't be one until it posts. Hello? Are we living in 1990? The money is electronically posted to them from the bank, which means immediately. So yes, even though I still haven't recieved my bill, and I have paid my bills in cash, I still have no service on my cell phone.

Now that totally sucks! It seems that sometimes companies go out of their way to be a pain in the butt! It's frustrating enough to be put on hold and wait for 20 minutes, but then to have them hang up? As Clark Howard would say" Customer no-service". I hope it all gets straightened out soon. Update on my frustrations: I managed to get into all of my classes for spring term! Yay! By the time I was able to enroll there were only 2 seats left in one of my classes AND one of the other classes was FULL! I called enrollment services and they suggested I contact the instructor of the full class. I had to LOL, because the name of the instructor sounded familiar. Turns out, she trained me when I worked at my previous job with a health insurance company. I sent her an email and she emailed me an authorization to enroll in her class for the spring! I am so thankful to her!
Hopefully, by the end of Monday, I'll get definitive answers regarding my "female health issues". Not gonna worry about it unless I have to. I'm not going to waste my weekend with worry!
