#22461, "Monday Updates, Thanksgiving Week 2010"

Good morning everyone. Let's skip the questions this week and just share what we are thankful for this Thanksgiving Week.

I'm thankful for my family and friends. My boys are healthy and happy. My husband loves us. My parents and sister will be here for Thanksgiving so it's always special.

I'm thankful for our friends. Some dear friends will be joining us for Thanksgiving so we'll have another 4 people at our table.

I'm thankful to be able to afford dinner for all these people and to provide great memories for my boys.

I'm thankful that I have triplets so that I've been able to "meet" all of you!

Great post Sharon

I am thankful for so much - and in a whole new way this year. I always feel appreciative of the blessings in my life - but being in India as just made me thankful in a way that I could never be without this experience.

I am thankful for:
*My husband who is so loving, positive, encouraging, accepting and supportive
*My boys who are healthy and (mostly) happy
*We are having an incredibly blessed experience here in India
*For all the people who have been so good to us here and made it feel like home
*We have a wonderful home, family and friends to go home to in the States
*That I thought of something fun to do for the holiday that would otherwise have been a bit sad
*For all the incredible packages our family and friends have spent gobs of money on (postal service to India is pricey!) that have arrived to us safely and have provided much comfort
*To have this community to help with the wonderful task of raising triplets

So I was very sad about Thanksgiving as we are missing family and DH is going to be out of town for the first and only time during our stay here. The boys have school so it will be a regular day - but I thought of a fun idea - we are going to have a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving! We are veg and living in a veg state - so we have no need for the traditional meal (which i like none of the dishes anyway) - so we will watch the show and eat toast, popcorn, pretzels, ice cream and ...not sure what to do as there are no jelly beans here as far as I can tell - a friend sent hot tamales so maybe we'll have them!

Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

I'm thankful for my friends and family. As I get older, I realize more and more of how important and special they are.

I will always be thankful that we still have Katie. The thought that we could have lost her 1 1/2 years ago still haunts me. Especially now that I am learning more and more (through my classes) about the seriousness of her complications following surgery. I'm glad I didn't know then what I know now......

I am thankful (and proud) of my kids. They are growing into such wonderful individuals. Caring, compassionate and responsible. What more could a parent ask for? A bit of a conversation I had this week with my son: A cyber-bullying issue came up at his school. Counselors spent time in each classroom etc etc etc "Mom. I don't get it. Why would someone go out of their way to make someone feel bad. Why would someone think that was fun?" My heart lept. What a great kid!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone!
