Hello, everyone. It was a quiet, boring weekend around here. One sick kid, lots of homework, a bit of Christmas shopping. Nothing exciting to speak of, except I went out Friday night to a holiday bunko! That was fun!

Here are a few questions to get us going this week.

1. What traditions do you have to put you in the holiday spirit?

2. Any plans for winter break from school?

3. What's the weather where you are?

4. Do you keep a list of things to do?

5. What type of calendar system do you use to keep track of your schedule? Paper, online, phone, etc?

Have a great week!

Good Monday to everyone!

We got our tree and the decorations are on it. In theory, all the legal stuff for the divorce should be over with tomorrow. I have not done any Xmas shopping yet.

1. What traditions -- the tree, I suppose.

2. Any plans -- just to get a lot of photography work done.

3. What's the weather -- rain, followed by some more rain, then some rain after that.

4. Do you keep a list of things to do? Yes, but I rarely look at it once it is made.

5. What type of calendar system do you use -- wall calender.

1. What traditions do you have to put you in the holiday spirit? Our annual cutting down of the Christmas tree! So much fun!

2. Any plans for winter break from school? Just hanging out.

3. What's the weather where you are? We are digging ourselves out a crap load of snow thanks to the lovely blizzard that passed through our area this weekend. It's colder than a witches bumm too. Possible -20 wind chill factors today. Oh joy.

4. Do you keep a list of things to do? No. But I should. I've been so disorganized this last month. Too much on my plate and not enough hours in the day. Tonight after everyone is in bed I get to clean my house. Sounds like fun doesn't it?

5. What type of calendar system do you use to keep track of your schedule? Paper, online, phone, etc? Paper calendar.

My last day of semester is next Tuesday. I'm fretting of the final exam. I also need to turn in an extra credit term paper by then. Totally looking forward to winter break. Plans to purge closets and to read for enjoyment!

Have a great week everyone!

1. What traditions do you have to put you in the holiday spirit? The tree is up and decorated and we have a wreath on the front door, but that's it at the moment.

2. Any plans for winter break from school? Complete and utter down time for us all.

3. What's the weather where you are? A little rainy. We've just got rid of 18 inches of snow and there's more forecast at the end of the week. I loathe that cold, white stuff!

4. Do you keep a list of things to do? In my head, I do.

5. What type of calendar system do you use to keep track of your schedule? Paper, online, phone, etc? My phone, so it beeps at me in advance of an appointment.

Hi Everybody,
I know I don't get on here as often as I used to. I'm going to pick up Jack and Elizabeth from college Thursday or Friday...yet to be determined by Jack's work schedule. I'm really looking forward to having all 5 of us under one roof for 3 weeks!

1. What traditions do you have to put you in the holiday spirit? We put the tree up every year right after dh's birthday, Nov.16. and start playing Christmas music. We LOVE the season! (well the girls and I do, dh and ds think we start too soon)

2. Any plans for winter break from school? just lots of time with the kids and their friends, watching movies, baking cookies, playing scrabble, etc. etc.

3. What's the weather where you are? horrible! 9 inches of snow on Sunday and now it's 8 degrees out with a wind chill that makes it feel like negative 15 degrees. Yuck.

4. Do you keep a list of things to do? I try.

5. What type of calendar system do you use to keep track of your schedule? Paper, online, phone, etc?

Still trying to get ready for the holidays. I think by Sunday I will be there.

1. We have slowed down on the traditions due to the family changing living locations. But I guess we have our special stockings that everyone hangs up. Those seem to be the most important.

2. I will be home and able to catch up on some cleaning around the house. I wanted to fly to FL and celebrate my son's 30th birthday, but that doesn't seem to be in the cards this year.

3. I LIVE IN MN. Does that pretty much tell you? 20 inches of snow, a collapsed MetroDome. Need I say more?

4. I always have multiple lists of things to do. I have long range and short range lists. I really get a sense of accomplishment from crossing things off as I complete them. Plus, I get all the things done that need doing because I don't forget.

5. I use a fairly good sized calendar that sits on my L shaped kitchen counter. My kids always complained that it looked tacky there, but we were always the most organized family. Everyone was always calling us for times and dates of activities.
