Happy New Year! The first Monday updates of the new year!
I hope everyone had a nice holiday break from school and enjoyed some R&R. We enjoyed Christmas, and some day tripping around the area. The boys enjoyed just staying home and playing video games, something there's not a lot of time to do during the school year. Met with friends, saw a movie. Not much of anything exciting.
Today will be a hard day for them. Waking up early instead of sleeping in until 10, 11 or later! LOL! Wish me luck when I roust them up in a bit.
Here are a few questions to get us going this year.
1. What are the highlights of 2010 for you and your family?
2. What are the hits and misses of your holiday gift giving/receiving?
3. Any New Year's Resolutions for 2011?
4. What are your goals this week?
5. What are your vacation goals this year?
Have a wonderful week!

Hi all!
We had a pretty relaxing holiday week. Dh and the kids had the whole week off. We did a lot of sledding and snowboarding. It was nice not having to rush off anywhere.
I just had a job interview. Nerve wracking. I think it went ok but the position sounds pretty challenging. It involves travel, something I am not sure I dig. I'll find out for sure on Friday. It is what it is and if it's meant to be it will happen. I AM thrilled with the idea that at least I am marketable AND that I have some interview experience under my belt
I just found out a few minutes ago that my dear Grandma had a major stroke. She's had a few small ones in the past, but the doctors have told us that she will not pull out of this one She could pass at anytime. She's lived a long and full life though. She's in her late 80's. Still doesn't make it any easier and that still won't make me miss her any less.
1. What are the highlights of 2010 for you and your family? Normal hum-ho stuff. I'm not complaining though. After 2009 a boring everyday life is welcome
2. What are the hits and misses of your holiday gift giving/receiving? Nothing really. With the kids being older they want big money items. Two of my dd's got guitars, my ds got a really nice snowboard and Katie loves anything she gets, lol!
3. Any New Year's Resolutions for 2011? Just not to sweat the small stuff and recognize that there is a reason for everything.
4. What are your goals this week? Organize closets..yuk.
5. What are your vacation goals this year? We have a cabin reserved in Northern Minnesota at a beautiful resort!
Have a great week everyone!
