The month is flying by. Is it the same for you?

We're just busy with the boys' schedules this month. All 4 have finals this upcoming week. We saw a play Friday night - "Annie" by our amazing local children's theatre group. Water polo all day on Sunday. Sports and doctor's appointments.

One of my boys is facing some probably surgery, hopefully in April. He's been battling chronic sinus infections for over a year. We've done many, many rounds of antibiotics. Now, he has an infection in his tonsils that isn't clearing up and is symptom-free, except for bad breath. Several medicated mouthwashes haven't worked. And his CAT scan showed a deviated septum, which causes most of his symptoms like chronic sinus infections, bloody noses, nasal swelling, congestion. So we're looking at surgery for the tonsils and deviated septum. Not a fun time.

On the upside, my last boy is getting his braces off. It's not the end of his dental work since he's missing one adult tooth and will need to wear a retainer with a fake tooth until he's old enough for a dental implant. But that's better than braces!

Well, since no one else will naswer, I guess I will.


1. What are you doing for yourself in 2011?
My birthday is in January so this year I asked for a spa treatment. The mani and pedi were fine but OMG the facial was fabulous!! An hour of lotions, oils, warm steam and massage. I have decided I desire this at least every 3 mos.

2. Do you have a cell phone? Smartphone? Ipad or similar device?
I have a cell phone. NO texting, no web browsing, no data. JUST A PHONE. I tell people I am Amish.


3. What TV show do you watch that is pure, trashy, senseless fun?
We don't have cable because of all the trash that is on it but did just sign up for Netflix. I don't know how long I can stand it. We have watched at least 30 movies, TV shows, and documentaries in the last week.

4. How cold is it where you live?
Nicer the last 2 days. I think 25-30. We had been in a really cold week of low teens during the day and below zero a few nights.

5. How many pets in your household and what type?
One dog- parentage uncertain and 2 goldfish. Probably the least number of animals we have ever had. As the kids get older, more of the work falls on me.

Sharon, sorry to hear of your son's impending surgery. My nephew had a similar on several years ago and did quite well. He said he didn't realize how hard it was to breathe until after the surgery when he could breathe easily.

1. What are you doing for yourself in 2011?

Nothing new -- increase my effort in my art mostly.

4. Lately the lows have been in the low 40's -- quite nice, and lucky since out heater in the house has been broken for the past two weeks. Hopefully the landlord will get on it soon.

Hey All!

It's been an interesting last few weeks. I've started a new job this past Monday! I graduate in May and this particular job is getting my foot into the door for my field. I am pretty overwhelmed though. Learning 3 different computer systems is making my head swim. With the new job, school, the kids and household stuff....aaahhhhh!!!


1. What are you doing for yourself in 2011? I guess this new job thing can fall into this category? If not, I will answer keeping up with my work out routine. And maybe a weekend away with my best chica's?

2. Do you have a cell phone? Smartphone? Ipad or similar device? Cell phone. Technology scares the heck out of me,lol!

3. What TV show do you watch that is pure, trashy, senseless fun? I guess I'm gonna say The Bachelor.

4. How cold is it where you live? A balmy 25 some degrees.

5. How many pets in your household and what type? Just one. A golden retriever. We don't think of her as a pet though....she's our furr-baby! LOL!

1. What are you doing for yourself in 2011? Trying to become more technology savvy. It's a long haul!

2. Do you have a cell phone? Smartphone? Ipad or similar device? Just moved into the 21st century with an Iphone. Still haven't figured out all the features but the GPS is amazing.

3. What TV show do you watch that is pure, trashy, senseless fun? Say Yes to the Dress

4. How cold is it where you live? It's about 70 here in Northern CA today!

5. How many pets in your household and what type? Zero pets. I promised that after I potty trained 4 boys, I would never ever clean up poop. So no dogs for us. Cats are out due to allergies. No rodents. No pets!
