Only if one considers craziness as the new normal! LOL! Far too much to do!

I have the boys this week (rain, rain, and more rain!) I have two shows to get ready for by the end of the month, 15 copies of a 7-print portfolio to print (way behind on that), a workshop to give in Yosemite at the end of April and one in June, etc etc!!!

But other than that, things are going well. Plenty of challenges keeping everything going smoothly...bills to pay and the like. Fortunately I don't mind challenges.

As long as we limit our discussions about the boys and the boys' schedule, things go well between the boys' mom and me.

I spent a couple weeks out in the desert photographing which was nice -- ready to do it again, but not with the above schedule!

Hope all is well with you and yours!

Good to hear that your new life is taking on a shape of its own.

Fourteen year old boys can keep you hopping. I couldn't imagine not being able to discuss all of that with their mother.

My family is doing well.

I have one who may be hit by the hard economic times and possibly lose his job. I am so hoping that doesn't happen.

I have another who is finishing up grad school and is job hunting. He is looking for a job as a Meteorologist.

I hope they both are successful in their employment needs!!!!

Thanks, Kathy and Vaughn for giving updates on your families.

Vaughn, it sounds like things are good and busy. You sound more upbeat than a year ago! Kathy is right - 14 year old boys keep you hopping!

Kathy, glad you are doing well. I hope both your boys find new employment quickly and easily.

Sharon...a year ago was like waking up from a bad dream only to find that being awake is worse! Anything is up from that! LOL!

Kathy -- I wish the best for your boys...interesting economic times, to say the least.

I am a little ahead calling the boys 14, but what is a couple weeks in the grand scheme of things! Being an odd number year (2011), it is the mother's turn for the boys on their birthday. Now how strange is that concept?!

Ya, I just rounded up their age seeing that it is in a few weeks. Now my birthday being only days away, I round down for as long as I can. LOL

That is "different", having to actually share the boys on their birthday, like that. But eventually, they will be adults and they will be making the choices. Not that they will be choosing one parent over the other, they will just be deciding how they spend their day.

I found that once my boys became adults and were off to college, that their birthdays were celebrated more with their friends. Of course they came home for dinner out, cake and the cash gift, but they really enjoyed being with friends more. I get that and am not hurt by it one bit.

I do like how they try to spend at least part of the day together whenever possible.

As I was approaching my birthday last year, I thought I was going to be 54...then just before my birthday I realized that I was only going to be 53! What a nice present to myself! LOL!

But 54 is still right around the corner, but we have all of Spring to go through first! And about a month after my birthday, me and the boys will be hiking to the top of Half Dome in Yosemite.

Keep doing all that hiking and healthy stuff. It sure makes a difference as the years go by. I can really tell when I am faithfully working on my treadmill. I feel so much better.

I am turning 56 in a few days. Man, how did I get that old?

I was born in 1955, but you probably already figured that out. LOL

54 was a good age.
