This week, let's update on the past weekend. Share what you did! How's the weather in your area? Mundane or memorable is just fine!

Friday night, drove my son and a friend to the local junior high for a planetarium show. Kind of a misnomer since it was just a slideshow on the planetarium walls. It was a fundraiser to fix the actual planetarium. Sad state of finances in CA public education.

Saturday was a shopping day for me and 2 boys. They needed new shoes and clothes. My dh took 2 boys to a rock climbing competition. My rock climber had a fun day.

Sunday was a water polo day. My guy was under the weather but managed to have 3 good games. He's totally exhausted. And the weather held out. All the parents were dreading this day. The weather man was talking about how bad the stormy weather would be - BAD with a capital "B". The storm held off and we had a few minutes of drizzle. Otherwise, it was just cool but dry.

Weather around here is just rain. For the next 10 days. Not looking forward to that.

There is a very strange thing in the sky -- it is round, sort of yellowy and very bright. Alien invasion, perhaps? So odd...

This is my kidless week -- and way too much to do. I should be over at the local camera shop hanging my show. I worked in the darkroom from 6pm on Sunday to 5am on Monday. I am getting too old for this -- well, not really, but I certainly do not bounce back like I use to!

The boys and I scrubbed the kitchen floor last week. I have been in this house for almost a year -- I suppose I should clean the floor a little more often. Its not my fault -- it is off-white and hard to tell if it is actually dirty or not, but I do sweep at least once a month.

I know, I know...it is a guy-thing. And I swear that I don't have dirty dishes in the sink for more than a few days, and the bathroom gets cleaned every couple of weeks (or so) whether it needs it or not...

The boys and I will have to find something to do this week-end. Being stuck in the house all week-end is not an option. I might take them up to the university for part of a day -- have some framing and mat-cutting for my show still left to do!

We're spoiled in CA and are not used to all this rain. It's supposed to clear up after this weekend. One of my boys is definitely made for Southern CA since he's just craving the sun. The others don't seem to care much.

Hope you find something to burn off all that boy energy. We'll be looking for the same thing!
