Yes, it's April. How did the first 3 months of the year just fly by?
We are in the throes of conflict. My older son was all sent to go to college in Oregon. Everything set. But a local private college just gave him a scholarship that will make it semi-affordable - at least the same price as an out-of-state college for us Californians. What to do, what to do?
Last week was busy - a friend is facing some medical issues so I spent time helping her out. Kids had lots of stuff going on. Nothing earth-shattering but too busy to keep up with everything. Hope this week will settle down a bit.
Did find out the problem with my shoulder. MRI showed a torn rotator cuff. So now I'm in physical therapy. Lovely.
So here are a few questions -
1. What are you doing during spring break?
2. Do you actually do spring cleaning?
3. What's the price of gas in your area?
4. Do you pay your bills all at one time or as they dribble in?
5. How many cars did/do your kids have? Shared vehicles?
Have a great day!

Hey everyone. How's it going?
Sharon that sucks about your shoulder. My brother had surgery on his and it took a year to heal. Hopefully, you can get by with therapy and no surgery.
1. Spring Break is over and I did absolutely nothing, but cross stitch.
2. I used to do spring and fall cleaning. Not so much anymore. I really should though.
3. Gas in our area as of today is $3.79.
4. The only bills I pay right now are student loan payments for my son. I pay them as they come in.
5. We had 6 cars here when the boys were home. One son actually had a car and a truck and one son didn't own a vehicle. Now we own 3 cars, but one is down in MS with our son.
I am heading off to our state convention this weekend. Should be fun. I love a girl's get-a-way. We go from Thursday afternoon until Sunday early evening. But we are heading up north this year. I am betting they still have way more snow left than we do. So much for summery clothes this year. mom to: Ryan 32 The Lawyer Jason 30 The Chief Meteorologist Chris 30 The College Student Tim 30 The college grad

1. What are you doing during spring break? I have the boys for the second half of their break -- might go camping.
2. Do you actually do spring cleaning? Yes, I usually trim my beard up every Spring. In fact, I did it last week, so my Spring cleaning is done!
3. What's the price of gas in your area? Cheapest is $4.16/gal
4. Do you pay your bills all at one time or as they dribble in? Just hopefully on time.
5. How many cars did/do your kids have? Shared vehicles? One. And their mom has a car waiting for them when they start to drive (a 88 Accord w/manual transmission).

Hi, Vaughn. Love your spring cleaning ritual! LOL!
The school is close enough for him to live at home. Except over 90% of the kids live on campus. Definitely part of the college experience. If I'm paying that much, I want him to have that. It's about 20 minutes away. I commuted to the same school for my MBA program.
It's a big decision for him. We'll be visiting with staff from both schools over the next 2 weeks.
This whole process gives me practice for when I do it again in 4 years with the triplets. Oy vey!

Hello everyone. It's been awhile. Busy, busy, busy here!
My new job, classes and family are keeping me pretty busy. Extremely busy. I'm about ready to abandon ship, lol! Thankfully, I will be finished entirely with school in May and I'm hoping things will calm down a bit. Remind me to never start a new job while going to school. Ack!
1. What are you doing during spring break? We have a short spring break during Easter. No special plans.
2. Do you actually do spring cleaning? I usually wait until fall once the kids are back in school because they will just slob it up during summer break. However this year I'm doing some spring cleaning. We ordered new living room furniture and it will be arriving in the middle of May.
3. What's the price of gas in your area? Oh Lord, sorry to say that I'm not really paying attention because I just end up po'd.
4. Do you pay your bills all at one time or as they dribble in? Now that I am working more I pay them when I get paid, so twice per month.
5. How many cars did/do your kids have? Shared vehicles? Oldest dd drives our old mini-van. We have three vehicles total. The suburban, my car and the van. "Just remember, you can do anything you set your mind to, but it takes action, perseverance, and facing your fears."-- Gillian Anderson
