OK, admittedly, I do not get out a lot. My trio is 11 and my other son is 10. I haven't been to a baby shower in almost ten years, but had the pleasure of attending one this past weekend. The mom-to-be opened one of those play thingies that go on the carseat, and I had a moment of panic thinking, "why did they only give her ONE? What about the other babies? How could someone just give her ONE?"...and then I remembered...oh, yeah, she's only having ONE baby--like most people do. It's hard to adjust to seeing just one baby item--even all these years later!

Too funny!

After doing everything in threes, I picked up 3 balls and started to juggle them -- something I could never do before. Seems about right...juggling 3 balls is easy compared to dealing with three babies from get-up to good-night!

Too funny!

Reminds me of my oldest son when he was in preschool. A classmate brought her new baby sister to school to show her off. My son said, "Where are the others?" He thought all babies came in sets of 3!

After I had the triplets, my oldest dd (who was 3 years old at the time), said, "Mom, next time just have 2 babies."

That's so funny. I work at a school, and a parent I met a few years ago had twin boys about a month ago. I couldn't stop myself from buying them little coordinating outfits! One shirt said, "I love Mom" and the other one "I love Dad" . . . with a matching pair of tiny jeans. So cute!!

Two coworkers also had baby showers last month (each is having a baby girl). I got them gift cards. It's not as much fun shopping just for one outfit, lol.

And I'm just way too practical! I'd look at stuff that she registered for and think, "well, that's totally useless!"

When I first got pregnant, my mom and I both turned our noses up at a family member who offered us a used (oh, the horror!) crib. Then we found out there were three babies, and we were calling the relative asking, "so you said you had a crib we could borrow?" LOL Pickiness OUT, practicality IN!

Yep, was with a colleague expecting her second child and I couldn't understand her carseat choices since there was NO WAY THREE of those would fit across the seat in her car - Oh, yea, she only has one in a carseat...duh!
