Hey Everyone,
No this isn't another freak out session. I'm getting much better. Working on the nursery this week! I have a few questions in general about the pregnancy. I am 20 weeks pregnant BBG.Did anyone else start getting uncomfortable around this time? I'm starting to swell a little in my fingers and ankles but it goes away. The pain in my groin makes it difficult to walk and even change clothes. I need my DH to be on standby at showertime just to get me in and out the tub. I havent gained weight anywhere but the belly and the belly is already huge even at 20 weeks. What can I expect in the weeks to come? Can anyone share their experiences? I'm currently recieving progesterone injections weekly. I have a cervical cerclage.

Around 20 weeks is when you have to start limiting your activity regardless if your one bedrest or not. I started having the pressure/pain in my groin starting at 16 weeks. I also started having braxton hicks contractions and uterine irritability starting around then too. Your doctor may put you on procardia if you are having a lot of uterine irritability in the coming weeks. I started swelling a bit on and off starting around 20 or so weeks. Make sure you are drinking a lot of water and try to decrease your salt intake and keep your feet up as much as possible. I got to the point that I could not drink anything but water while I was pregnant because I would swell so bad with anything else. Expect to not be able to eat as much as you have been. I think its at like 24 weeks you can not physically eat enough to support you AND the babies completely, so you are supposed to gain X amount of weight before then. The uncomfortableness will increase of course.

Also I was going to tell you about your freak out sessions, what I did is I went and read back in a bunch of peoples blogs to see how bad they said it was when they brought them home. That helped calm me down a lot because there were not really horror stories like you would expect.

Shely~ Mom to 1+bbg
