#1203, "RE: Car Seat Follow-Up"

Yup, that was me that asked a few months ago. I've still got mine rear-facing and they turned two last March. My taller boy is 37+ inches, 27 pounds and he is fine with it still. I do feel like I'm buckling in a flamingo, but he just does whatever with his legs. Sometimes they are crossed, sometimes they are splayed way out to the side. I'm going to try to tough it out until it is clear that they are uncomfortable.
My older daughter was always fussy in the car so I thought maybe flipping her around would help with that. She didn't weigh 20 lbs until several months after turning one, but she was just as bitchy forward facing and I had the mirrors, toys, whole nine yards. I think it was just her personality, so if the new guidelines had been out back then I probably would have just left her rear-facing too. Allison
