Before I continue, I asked some friends of singletons first (I know, stupid) and then got to watch them recoil in horror.

Ok, so I got 3 bathseats, 2 go over the side of the tub, one just is a ring that sits down in it - got all used but cleaned thoroughly - or so I thought. We just used them for the first time and to my horror, black scummy stuff started coming out from inside of the bottoms of all three - apparently the water collects inside them & mold grows. When they hit the water, all that floated right out. It was SO gross! (We quickly abandoned ship and wrapped babies in towels, put them in high chairs and then bathed them one at a time in the baby bath)

So, we've decided to get new seats, obviously. I want one that does not hold water. I've found the papillon which looks like a spongy tie on thingy ($40 ea!) - anyone tried it? And does anyone know of a bath seat that is one piece of plastic that doesn't hold water & then get gross?

We had one of these for my DS. We got 3 for the trio. They're too little to use them yet, but I loved it for my DS. He loved it too. We used it as soon as we transitioned him to the tub from the sink. We actually used it in the sink first to get him used to it. We never had a problem with it.
