My trio is slower on the fine motor skills but quick to pick up gross motor skills. Probably from all that time they spend hanging out alone with each other on the floor... They are 9.5 months actual, 8 months adjusted, and are standing, cruising, climbing, sitting up, crawling, rolling over, and one of my DD's took a step on Sunday and another today, but she fell right after that and can stand up in the middle of the room without holding onto anything. However, they are only just saying mamamama, dadadadada (both indiscriminately but it's getting closer to for real - like they all say dadadadada when they are happy and mamamamama when they are crying or want to be held), random other noises and gurgles and babbles and coos, but they have been razzing for forever. They can pick up tiny objects, they can swing a wooden spoon around in the air, and put finger foods (and everything else) in their mouths, but they do not wave or clap, which bugs me, because it makes me feel like I don't spend enough time teaching them these things. My pedi is very reassurng, saying that b/c they are advanced in other areas, some developmental things have to lag behind and that they will pick all that stuff up sooner or later so stop worrying about it, LOL.

Mine are about 9.5mos but were born at 36w3d so we've always measured them on everything based on actual age. I think they are pretty much up to speed on about everything except eating solids. They won't eat much in the way of baby cereal or baby food. They do however love puffs/cheerios and diced carrots. They are all saying mama and 2 are saying bye bye and dada. They also all wave, crawl, sit up and pull up. They are loving walking around in walkers but won't cruise on furniture yet. They are behind on things as compared to my oldest who was a 40weeker. Since yours were born at 28 weeks I would definately go by their adjusted age. Sounds like they are doing great for 7 months adjusted. Sarah

Mine are 8 mths old, 6.5 adjusted & are sitting very well by themselves although they have to be put that way. Sofi is close to getting in sitting position by herself. They all say Ma or Mama when they want me. They are holding their arms out to be picked up. They can also do the Cheerios thing by pinching their fingers together. They are not crawling (getting close) but are rolling all over the place. They also aren't anywhere near pulling themselves up or walking. we have GGGG at a little over 9mo (7mo adjusted). we have... - 1 crawler (forward and very quick) - 1 crawler (going backwards) - 2 rollers - all can sit up by themselves - all grasp/play/mouth toys - all interact with each other (smiling at, playing with each other, stealing toys from each other) - all babble and say "ma" or "mama." - we've been feeding them finger foods for the last 1 to 2 months. 2 of them have it down pat (get food into hand/fingers and get into mouth). these two do it quick too! 1 of them just got feeding the finger foods herself. then the last and 4th can get the food into her fingers or hands but isn't putting it into her mouth (w/o help). - 1 can stand and bear her weight. the other 3 are just standing and holding themselves up.

Mine are 28 weekers ... none of them crawl, but one is very close ... they all roll from tummy to back pretty well, but only one is really good at getting on her belly (the other two hate being on their bellies, so I wonder if that's the reason they won't roll) ... they're all good w/ gross & fine motor skills, but not holding their own bottles yet ... none have said mama or dada yet, but they do babble a lot ... all can scoot around if they're laying down ... they all smile/laugh ... none remain sitting when you stick them in that position and they're definitely not pulling themselves up yet and they're nowhere close to standing.
