#1400, "RE: Any playgroups or activities for your triplets?"

I haven't done much with mine either. It's just so hard to get them all out the door to get to anyplace "on time", plus mine were still taking two naps/day at 12 months. Now they have one nap in the afternoon but we still don't go out all that much. It's still time-consuming to get everyone out the door, but mostly it's because they often catch a cold at the play place and then I keep us all home until they're better.
Our area has a Family Resource Center with some open play times, so we've done that a few times. It's basically a room as big as a banquet hall at a hotel with some toys. The kids love to just run around. We've done story time at the library once and another local store with a play area. We've done a couple play dates at our house, but not many. I also consider an errand to Target or the grocery to be a perfectly acceptable outing.
The last NICU developmental follow-up appt was in September, but at that point their social skills were rated ahead of their actual age. If you think about it, they're constantly getting more peer interaction than most other kids their age. Everyday is pretty much a play date, so I don't feel too badly when we can't get out. Once it's warmer (we're in northern Wisconsin) we'll take walks almost everyday and go to the park across the street. Mom to GBG born in July 2009 at 30w6d: 3#10oz, 3#12oz, 3#2oz
