Not to disappoint, but mine are 11 months, 9 adjusted and we still have one (little peanut DD) that either sleeps through or is up 2x! They all started STTN after we started 3 solids, but DD got sick a few weeks ago and is still eating everything in sight to make up for it. We let them CIO and the boys usually sooth themselves, but DD needs her bottle. We haven't done binkies in a long time.
Beth Mommy to Kendall (almost 4 and STTN at 10 weeks) and Kye, Reese and Bryce (11 months)

My daughter has been sleeping through the night since 11 weeks. Thank God because her two brothers are putting me through the ringer. It isn't that they are awful, it is just that there are two of them.
I feel like my boys' sleeping is regressing and I, in an attempt to cope, are instilling bad sleeping habits. (i.e. immediate binky plugging, bottle feeding too quickly). I am just so damn tired.
I figure if they are like their big sister, it will be 15 months before I sleep again.
I am starting to wonder if I can do this without losing my sanity. DD - 3 years old BGB - born at 36 weeks in 7/08

Our triplets were just starting to sleep thru the night until they got sick about 6 weeks ago. Now, the girls get up at least once, sometimes twice to eat. It is really frustrating and if we try to let them cio, they wake each other up. They will be 8 months on the 9th! We are thinking about putting them in separate rooms so that we can let them cio. I did not CIO.
I kept them to a very strict bedtime routine (no cry sleep solution), and they slept 7 hours at 4 months. They slept 12 hours at 8.
I know you are tired, but in a few months you won't even remember this time! Christa Mommy of: Reagan, "Queen Bee" Ethan, "Mr. Cuddles" Delaney, "Da Boss" Addison, "Sweet Pea" Joel, "Super Sillies"

Yep, it was a TOTAL fluke. I can't even count how many times the boys woke me up last night.
AND our coffeemaker broke last night. The one I bought LAST week! DD - 3 years old BGB - born at 36 weeks in 7/08

I think all babies are different & depending on their day habits & weight, begin STTN. Ours started going 8-9 hrs at 12 wks old but it wasn't until 4 wks ago making them 6 mths old, did they start sleeping 12 hrs. The reason it took us so long is that DH would do the 5am feeding for me so I could sleep b/c I was still waking up at 2am to pump. During Hurricane Ike, I did the 5am feeding but it was a BFing session for all 3 & I loved it so much that I dropped the pumping session & traded it for the BFing. I didn't want to let go & had a hard time when we did decide to stop. Basically, they could have STTN 12 hrs a long time ago but we kept it for our own selfish reasons. The day we decided we wouldn't feed them at 5am, they slept until 7am, no problems. I bawled my eyes out.
All I can tell you is that it will happen & probably sooner than later. Astrid GGB born at 33.6 on 3-31-08 Sofia Genevieve ~ 4.9 oz, 10 days NICU Gabriella Marie ~ 4.4, 10 days NICU Ian Giovanni ~ 4.1, 14 days NICU

Man, no kidding, I have always been jealous of those who STTN because my daughter was 4 YEARS old until she stopped needing attention in the middle of the night.
My boys are almost 5 months adjusted, 8 months actual, and I wake them up twice to eat after they are down for the night. So they are not STTN but it doesn't seem as bad since I'm waking them and not the other way around. I'm getting so much more sleep with them than I did with my daughter that is seems completely doable.
I'm glad to hear there are others who don't sleep, I feel like much less of a failure. Allison

It took us a long time to get all 3 sleeping through. (Only in the last few weeks!) We certainly weren't successful when they were 4mo old.
What we did- We went to on-demand feedings over night. (Only feed if they woke up to feed). Then we fed them all at 5am. We just recently (and I'm talking last 2 weeks or so) stopped feeding over night. Now they are waking up around 6/6:15 (12 hours).
We did some CIO. I hated listening to them cry, but they usually put themselves back to sleep around 10/15 min.
Before you know it, they will be sleeping through-
Good luck!!! Mel Aiden 4 lbs 15 oz Brody 5 lbs 8.3 oz Colin 5 lbs 8.6 oz 4/14/08 at 35 wks ID BBBs--no NICU http://www.meluch.blogspot.com

Four months is SUPER early to be sleeping through the night but I think your hope is right around the corner given that they are already sporadically dropping one feed in the middle of the night....that is the first clue!!! I would say look for the second to drop in the next 4 weeks or so. I would be hesitant to CIO if they are really still feeding in the night. I knew it was time to ignore the wake ups when my DD was just nursing for 5 min or less...I knew she really wasnt getting nourishment...she was just wanting a little cuddle time. I confirmed it by offering her a bottle in the middle of the night and she would only take an ounce or so....but it took her to a little over 5 months to drop that feed.
You are not alone...it sounds like your babies are right on target!
