#1453, "How do you deal with the frustration?"

My trio is rolling over back-to-belly and getting super frustrated. They want to crawl, they want to get at the toys out of their reach, and they want to do what they want to do. So between that and the teething, I'm getting quite a bit of crying. How do you deal with the frustration and the mad crying? Is it the frustration that motivates them to develop the next skill? I'm just curious what your experiences are.

Oh, they are 6 months, 4 months adjusted.

Joey

Mine are now 10 months adjusted.

I recall when they were the age of yours, we had them on a towel or play mat....one of those ones with the toys that hang from above was very handy. We'd have lots of toys around them that they could reach with a little effort. We also had them on their tummy with a towel under their chest -- gave them that extra support that they needed to reach some things. We haven't used one with our GGG to date, however, depending on how they're sitting, you could also try an exersaucer.

I think a certain amount of frustration is totally normal -- the fact that there are 3 of them, means that they will feed off of each other as well.

not sure any of that helps....

Thanks, Janet. I've done the rolled up towels for a few days now and that's helped some. I've gone from 5 minutes until crying to about 15 minutes until crying, which is great. My biggest is so desperate to crawl. He lays (lies?) there with his legs and arms pumping like crazy and can't figure out why he isn't moving.
