#388, "what are your babies fav. finger foods?"

my baby LOVES beans, any type. black beans, garbanzo beans, anything like that.
She also LOVES the gerber veggi puff sticks that are veggie dip flavor.

but I am looking for more things to guve her.
Recently I have been giving her whatever meat we cook that night in very tiny bite size pieces.

You would think I am a pro by now (baby #5) but I seem to have forgotten everything I did with the others.

When did you try cheese?

any tips would be great.
She is almost 1 but not yet.

Mine just turned one and they love cheese. I started giving them cheese at about 10mos. They love anything they can pick up. My girls love beans and peas but my boy doesn't(just like dad). Here's what they are having now.

chicken nuggets, fish sticks, ground hamburger or turkey, hot dog, baked sweet potato and sweet potato fries, carrots and peas, green beans, grilled cheese, bagel w/cream cheese, peanut butter crackers, cinnamon waffles, pancakes, bananas, grapes, jumbo rice krispies, cheerios(all the flavors), apple jacks, goldfish/whale crackers, cheerio snack mix, soft pretzel, soft granola bars, apple cinnamon cereal bars

There's probably more, but that's what I can think of right now. I spoon feed very little b/c they don't like it. They eat a lot better if they can do it themselves.

holy cow! lol, thats a big list!

We do not do eggs, not even the yolks. I am waiting till she turns a year.
No PB until she is 2 years old.
I am pretty strict with the allergy warnings.

BUT.....
looking at your list I guess I do give her more then I thought.

She does waffles, bananas, pancakes, and fries.
have yet to do chicken nuggets, hot dogs, bagels with cream cheese, cereal bars, or fish sticks.

I have heard about the Jumbo rice krispy's, I think I might buy that at the store the next time.
My baby does not like to be spoon fed either anymore

Thanks for the list!

I was giving egg before a year but I just took them to the pedi last week for the 1 year well baby visit and he told me to give them anything I wanted. I asked about peanut butter, strawberries, honey, etc. and he said it was all fine to try.

I have to have a pretty big list b/c mine like a lot of variety. They like all those things and eat them well but I don't dare give the same thing too many times in a row or they'll just play w/it. They seem to get bored easily...get that from their father
