So Xander and Lily are grubbing down on their solids. They LOVE sweet potato's, peas, and will eat green beans if mixed in with sweet potato's....they have even tried banana's. Their sister Hayden will not even take a bite on her own. We do slip in one maybe two bites during meal time but she usually just lets it ooze back out of her mouth. They will be 8 months old in a couple days....should I be worried about this....anything else I should try?

That sounds exactly how my little girl started off. My boys did great from the first bite but it has taken her a little longer to get the hang of it. Just practice practice practice. She still eats much less than her brothers but is definitely getting better and better every day. I wouldn't think you should worry. Some babies just take a little longer to catch on than others.

Hey there...sounds like you feel better but wanted to add in my two cents...

Thea was just like this forever...till about 10 months ish..(she is also the most active and not a good bottle feeder) Now at almost 12 months she is pounding down the solids better than her sisters! She will eat anything!

I wouldn't worry. My guy started solids around 6mos and loved them immediately. It took my girls much longer. Finally Devyn started eating some at around 8mos and then Kenzi didn't like any kind of solid until around 10mos. But her deal was that she didn't like baby food. She wanted stuff to mash on even though she had no teeth. So we didn't start consistently doing solids until 10mos and only did baby food for like 2 weeks before cutting it all out and giving them homemade chunky stuff. They are a year now and we are still only doing 2 solids a day(lunch and supper). They get a bottle for breakfast and right before bed.
