#445, "poop issue-normal or not?"

one of my girls has vever had a solid poop. she is 9 months old, 7.5 mos adjusted. eats nutramigen and some solids. her poop is liquid, sometimes a thicker liquid. every time I go to the dr they say there is a wide variety of normal poop, but it still worries me

anyone deal with this? anything specific I should ask the pedi?

Nutramigen is notorious for causing more liquid stools. Some Pedi's give it instead of Mirilax or prune juice. Until she gets off of it, she will likely not have a solid stool. Additionally, the fact my trio's system was not used to dealing with more solid stools (two on nutramigen one Elecare then nutramigen) was one of the reasons we transistioned to milk slowly.

thank you!

I actually looked online last night and found many stories about this, but I didn't know about giving it instead of prune juice etc.

maybe I'll give a little to one of my other girls who gets constipated occasionally!
