#472, "nanny rates for triplets"

Hello,

I'm due in September 09 and am starting to look for a full-time, live-out nanny. Does any one have experience with rates of nannies for triplets? I'm looking for 10 hours a day, 5 days a week.
Thanks,
louloua

I would post this in the main forum and then do a search within the forum! There have been tons of posts about this and the rates range significatly depending on the area.

Congrats on the trips! They are awesome!

I have heard anywhere from 8-900/week to 350-400 a week...it depends where you are and the current supply and demand...and of course the requirements of your trio.

If you have a local Multiples group, they would have much more specific information for you. We had to ask around where we worked.

Congratulations on your triplets! We just found a nanny for our trio. Make sure you ask them what they charge. We were able to get someone for $10/hour (which is what we were hoping to pay) and some of the others wanted more. Surprisingly, she is the one that we liked the best too. Good Luck in your search!

We have a full-time live-out nanny for $13/hour. We found her though www.care.com -- you could sign up just to see what's out there and the going rate in your area. Good luck finding someone!

I pay $100 per day and she is normally there about 9.5 hours; you will find prices will vary widely even in your own area. Determine the things that are important to you and start advertising/looking. I really wanted someone that had previous experience sitting for multiples so that really limited our applicants. Best of luck! For me it was a nervous process, but we're really happy now
