We have started to try the transition from bottle to sippy cups. We did great the first two days. Ruari is doing great with it. Declan with take the sippy but makes a huge mess with it, and Emma wants to have no part of it. What type of sippys are the easies for them to use. Suggestions would be great.

Our trio liked the Nuby's in the beginning, but after about a month or two the Playtex ones with handles were the favorite. The Nuby ones are the most like a bottle, so it was pretty easy for them to figure out...and the Playtex leak the least of all that we tried, so they were my favorites. You also can use almost any Playtex top on almost any Playtex bottom...so you can keep your same sippy cups and order new lids as they become more proficient (and start chewing them to shreds)

How is the transition going?

Mine will only use straw cups. We use the munchkin straw cups.

I'm currently in this process too. It's much harder than I'd anticpated. So far, the only sippy cups that mine will drink milk out of are the Take n Toss kind. They're fine drinking water/juice out of others, but not milk. Go figure. The problem is that the TnT ones leak, so they can only have them in high chairs, but they are the easiest to drink from, so if you get desperate, they're worth a try! That's how I ended up with them.

Mine all liked the Born Free sippy cups. They have 2 different spouts, soft for beginers and firm for experienced drinkers.

They do leak if tipped upside down, but they come with click-on tops (like bottle tops) that keep them clean in a diaper bag.
