Aren't U guys tired of giving Ur kids the same thing everyday?? Well I AM!!!

I need help. My 15 month old triplets GGB are at the stage where they don't want the baby food and the purees anymore. I give them plenty of finger foods as snacks but I don't replace them for meals. I want them to eat hearty and enough come meal time. So.... I need help. I end up cooking the same things for them over and over. They love stewed beans (blended) over rice, tiny spaghetti with blended meat sauce and Soups. I seem to keep giving them the same thing bec. of lack of imagination for other delicious recipes. I tried couscous but failed. It seems to have potential but I cooked it wrong. I have not tried Quinoa bec I'm scared of it. Don't know any yummy reicpes with it.

Please, if there are any cooks out there who, like I, need different options I would love to swipe recipes.

hello:

my triplets are 13 months and can be really fussy while eating.
i did discover though that they really like grilled cheese sandwiches (cut the crust off and cut into small squares makes it easier to chew), they like orzo with chicken broth, peas, carrots and sometimes brocolli. they also like mashed potatoes and grilled chicken. these things are not too fancy but they work for us right now. they also hated couscous which i never tried again.
a book that helps em is called the healthy baby planner.
good luck.
annie

My girls eat mostly everything we do. That includes chicken, pork, beef, cooked veggies, soft fruits (or spoon fed applesauce) pasta, bread, yogurt, cereal, cheese. I just cut everything up very small and make sure they are being watched. It has made life much easier b/c I can eat my dinner hot most of the time now. I heard you can give them egg yolks but not the whites until after a year. I need to start that. scrambled eggs would probably be great for your guys.

I would try smoothies as an occassional treat and it might be a nice replacement for you from making purees.
Peach melba smoothie:
1/2 cup raspberries
Half a 15-ounce can peaches in natural juice, drained
1 cup raspberry drinkable yogurt or raspberry yogurt
1/2 cup whole milk
Puree together the raspberries and peaches and strain to remove any seeds. Blend together the yogurt, fruit puree, and milk until smooth.

You would want to at least double this for 3 servings. You can really blend most any frozen fruit with a banana and some yogurt and serve immediately.

An orzo risotto would be a nice one dish meal. I can share a mushroom and tomato risotto recipe if you're interested.

Meatballs. We buy the frozen turkey meatballs from trader joes. Also they eat sandwiches, cut up in pieces. Scrambled eggs with cheese and salsa is a huge hit too.
