Does anyone have any experience with 3 car seats in a Toyota RAV4? We have seen that the dimensions of the Graco Snugride should allow 3 to fit into the back seat of the RAV4, but want to know if anyone has done this or if you have any other suggestions.

I have the snugride 32 carseats in my Honda Odessey and i will tell you that 3 of them will not fit in the back row of it. I don't know if you have the snugride 32 or the original snugrides they may be smaller. Don't know if this really helps you just thought I would give my opinion. And also think about how you will get all 3 in the back with the babies in the seats. I had my triplets about 5 weeks ago and just getting them in and out of the van is a chore.

Congrats on the news of your triplets. Hope you have a good pregnancy and it's uneventful. I carried my GGG triplets to 35 weeks was on modified bedrest at 24 weeks and went into the hospital at 34 weeks just to get some rest before the birth. Hope everything goes well for you. If 3 seats don't fit in the back row what do you do?
Where do you put the 3rd seat?

We've been looking at the basic snugride with a base width of 17.5" and per the car dimensions it should just fit but we haven't actually tried it yet.

Melanie we have one in the 3rd row my 5 year olds booster and then 2 in captains chairs in the middle no one else will fit but thats ok 6 of us is enough antway haha

I have a Toyota Sequoia (which is the biggest SUV Toyota makes and is about the same size as a Chevy Tahoe) and the graco snug ride seats barely fit in the middle row. The seats themselves may fit, but if you use bases (and its a ton easier with bases) then it may not fit. We ended up putting one in the middle row and 2 in the back and my older dd in the seat that folds down to get to the back (she is in a booster seat.) But I doubt that they would fit 3 across in the RAV4.

I have an '06 Rav4 and I was able to get all 3 Graco Snugrides to fit. They just fit but I got it to work. I still have my Rav4 and we now had the trio in Toddler carseats.
