I started them at 4 months adjusted, and I only did one
feeding of rice cereal a day, because they weren't
interested. If I had nothing else to do, I'd try twice a day,
just to get them used to eating. But I didn't add in a second
feeding until they were eating the cereal, even if it was
only a few bites (in the beginning I pretty much just poured
it down their throat when they opened their mouth).
After that I added some vegetables at lunch, and when they
would eat breakfast and lunch, I added in some fruit at the
afternoon snack bottle. Now that they are eating I mix in
some fruit with their cereal and try to give them two
vegetables at lunch, but sometimes it's just a single food -
and I think that is because *I* don't like mixing food, so it
just seems like a gross thing to do. I feed them the solids
after the bottles, although one daughter usually eats them
halfway through her bottle; she seems to be starting to get
bored with the formula. I know others do formula and solid
feedings at separate times, but that would just drive me
batty.

Well, until the 1 year mark, formula or breast milk is the
most important thing. With that being said, as long as they
are taking in enough formula every day, I would feed them as
much as they want.
Mine are not big breakfast eaters either, so we usually do a
bottle first thing in the morning, no food, then I give them
another bottle about 4 hours later and after the bottle I
offer baby food. We always do the bottles first. I only feed
them at the very most, twice a day. If I feed them food more
then they wont drink enough formula. Then after the last
bottle of the day, before bedtime, I offer baby food again.
BUT if they would drink enough formula AND eat more baby
food, then I would offer it after every bottle (we feed 4
times a day) so it is kind of depending on how your babies
do. Shely~ Mom to 1+bbg

They are a bit past 4 months now. We started solids early per
our doctors orders because they have severe reflux. Shely~ Mom to 1+bbg

Ours were born August 21st at 35w 6d so we do not adjust the
age.
My first daughter was like that too and the doc had us start
solids when she was 2.5 months old because she was just
insatiable! My son (one of the trio) is like that too, he can
pack away 2 jars of baby food in one sitting! Shely~ Mom to 1+bbg
