#94, "Dr. Brown's baby"

Christian has been using DB from the get go. I have tried advent and nuby and he just can't get anything out but he sucks. I have him on a 3 with advent and I forgot what the nuby is. He just doesn't like it. He won't drink juice out of it either.

I have also tried advent and nuby sippy cups and he makes some very funny faces. How do you get them to transition when they won't even take other types of bottles? I bought another nuby bottle the other day because it comes with the sippy cup nipple but I haven't tried it yet. Anyone have any luck using the Dr Brown's sippy cup? I won't get that until later. Neither one of the boys would take a paci either.

Hi,

My sister-in-law had a baby who was very picky about the type of nipple he used. He has Down Syndrome. She tried the Dr. Brown sippy cup and was happy with it.

Good Luck!!

Thanks. We have some time yet but I may have to go that route.

I have spent soo much money in cups. Just when I think I found the one they like, then they are on to a different one. We are now using the munchkin straw cup. It has no handles and the straw cannot be pulled out of the cup. They like it and don't have to tilt back to drink out of it. Also, just keep trying until you find the right cup. I kept trying and even felt like I was wasting my time, but eventually it worked. I took their bottles away 2 weeks ago and no one even cared. I was prepared for a fight. Guess they showed me! LOL. Good luck and don't give up.

I don't have any input on the Dr Brown cups, but have you tried the soothie bottles? My friend had a daughter who was VERY picky about nipples, but she took those w/o any issue! Good luck!
