The Saturday morning before Thanksgiving, "it" finally happened. Parents with little ones that are able to get out of their cribs and open doors by themselves know exactly what "it" is. Thankfully, it only happened once as that afternoon, after Jacob left exited the bedroom twice more during naps we installed a child-proof doorknob cover to the inside of thier bedroom door.

Since Jacob was easily climbing in and out of his crib and his brothers, we decided to move up his transition to a toddler bed to before Christmas. My father made toddler beds for all three boys as Christmas gifts so Jacob just got his early. Sunday afternoon we made the switch. So far it has been great. Jacob crawls right in and with the exception of once on the first night will stay in bed all night. With the various horror stories that are out there about transitioning to toddler beds, we are excited to say the least. Hopefully, the other two will transition just as easy after Christmas.
