#68, "Christmas gifts for trips"

I love reading about what others are getting/have gotten their triplets for Christmas, birthday, etc. My boys are two now and have definitely outgrown the baby stuff. Will you share your kids' favorite toys when they were around 2? There is so much out there to get, but I want some suggestions on things that multiples like and that can be shared. I recently bought them the John Deer Gator ride on, bean bags, phonics dvd's, Leap Frog Radio, wooden puzzles, a cleaning set, and the aqua doodle mat. Those were all birthday presents, but now it's time for Christmas! Thanks for you help......

Santa got my 3 scooters for this year's "Santa Gift". I think it will be a big hit and they can use them indoors during the colder months. I live in So CAL so there is also plenty of time to use them outdoors. As far as what we will get them, I'm not sure. They really have so much!! I also know that everyone likes getting them toys too. I've asked each family member to only get them ONE toy and give me a gift card so that I can shop for whatever they need (like clothes) as they need it.

Somethings they had duing their 2nd year to help start you off:

love their Trikes and Big Wheels
Bouncy house
A kitchen
Always Books!
Swing set
they loved the coupe cars (step 2 and little tikes)
step 2 roller coaster
climbing toys (kept it indoors for the first year)
puzzles
of course DVD's

Just got them a motorized car but I suggest being atleast 3 for that one.

Have fun shopping!

We have loved and still do, our Big Wheels. They can really provide a lot of driveway fun.

My kids love their kitchen and play food. Also, if you don't have the Leap Frog Fridge Phonics I highly recommend it. My kids learned their letters really quickly with that and the Letter Factory DVD. They also like Little People sets.

Last year we got the boys a train table and a variety of other Thomas toys to go with it. This is still by far, their favorite things to play with. The table was only $99 at Costco last year around the holidays and came with trains, lots of wooden tracks, etc. They are big Thomas fans, though, so it seems anything Thomas-related will do for them. In fact, their Christmas lists are pretty much all Thomas this year! We also got them cars of various sizes and Little People stuff that they still enjoy, as well as dress up clothes (like Police man, Fire Fighter, Cowboy) that they pull out all the time. They also love the digital kiddie camera they got from an aunt and uncle. I think they would have loved those toy flash lights that are shaped like animals, as they love to play with flash lights whenever they can get their hands on them! They have also enjoyed their "tools" to no end... always coming to help Daddy or myself "fix" something. They also started to enjoy doing 24 pc puzzles that we got them last Christmas. And stuffed animals... my one ds still sleeps with Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse EVERY night (especially Minnie!!)! They also love to draw, paint, and do all kinds of art as they get older. Since we live in the Chicago area, we have stayed away from outdoor stuff at Christmas since it would be months before they could use them and that would be too hard for them. As a result, they did get two wheel bikes with training wheels for easter last year.

Now I'm looking for good three yo gifts... any ideas?

Kim
