#7023, "What is the Learning Box???"

Hi,

I am interested in the Learning Box but have no idea what it is. I like the idea of the crafts. My girls do go to preschool but only 4 hours a week. I could use some tips of other things to do when they are at home.

thanks

It's preschool-in-a-box. A teacher plans the curriculum, and they send you EVERYTHING you need to have a full, well-rounded preschool education. When I say everything, I mean everything! There is a little plastic-comb-bound book that comes every month, and you just open to Day 1 and follow the instructions exactly. Fully scripted. It's awesome!!

They cover the pledge, weather, patterns, shapes, colors, letters, numbers, arts & crafts, the whole nine yards.

Google The Learning Box preschool - I think they have some samples on their website that you can look at.

Would you say it is appropriate for 2 1/2 year olds?

My full-term, completely typical, newly-turned 3 year old is handling it fine. Much younger than that might be too young. Try one month and see.

Karen,
I gave it a try for the month of October (you can order by month if you want) and loved it. They had so many activities for the kids to do. My girls knew everything about Halloween and the numbers/letters they focused on that month. I did have to scale it down and help out with the activities as it is geared for 3 yr olds and up but I definitely recommend it. I just ordered it again and can't wait to see what they have planned for the holidays. Try it for one month and you can always order more. When you do order make sure you indicate for 3 children. They put each day in a plastic bag and you are ready to go. You will need to buy some other essential things but not many. Hope that helps! Need something to get thru the winter months!

Hw much is it per month? Do you have to sign a long term contract?

You do NOT sign any sort of contract. There is no obligation other than what you have already received. There is no minimum order, so you can order one month or more if you want.

There is a flat monthly charge for the basic kit, then a price per kid for the art supplies. I think I pay $65ish for 4 kids.
