#7874, "anyone else with BBB trips have this problem?"

I need help, my boys are almost 2 1/2 and I need help, they get out of their cribs and over the gate at the door and down the stairs, I tried toddler beds and they stay up all night and don't go to sleep, even if one of us stays up there, so I am going to have to do this again tonight and I will be up there with them all night, and hubby goes to work in the morning and I go to work at night. I don't know what to do I am at my witts end, and to add inslut to injury the kids all take their diapers off (tape and all) and poop all over, almost an everynight occurance. I am soo tired and frustrated! PLEASE HELP!!!

I would suggest crib tents. That is what I did. Also, for the diapers, I put the tape all the way around their waist and made sure that the ends meet. I had to cut it in the morning, but it kept them from getting the diapers off.

Good luck

I have BBB and they were in no way ready for toddler beds at 2 1/2. Cribs and tents were my only salvation. I can't tell you how many times I sewed them back together and rigged them BUT my kids slept every night with no problem. They actually hated when I got rid of them. I waited until they were 3 years and 8 months for beds. As for the pooping I am so lucky we never had that issue.

Definitely crib tents--they might still stay up and bounce around but they can't get out. The one I had to use a crib tent with still got out so I had to safety pin the zipper closed.

The diaper thing I had a problem with at naptime. I tried duct tape but he still got that off---I hear some people have had success. Also cutting the feet off a sleeper, putting it on backwards and safety pinning the zipper shut. I never was successful keeping him out of his diaper--I used to safety pin his shirt to his pants and he would rip holes in his clothes getting them off. If they want to get that poop they will find a way.
