Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone on here has a child with Aspergers? So many questions, we just found out that our son is showing the characteristics of Aspergers!
List of things that he currently is doing!
Stemming
has a load noise issue
(vacuum, car wash, blow dryer, etc.)
hates the feeling of tooth brush
avoids eye contest
doesn't express feelings
lacks common since
Hurts himself doesn't feel pain!
repetitive play

Gavin is only 3!

Thank you

Both my boys were DX last year with Autism, if u dont already have a IEP for him, get one asap. You make a appt with the School District and after they DX him, you can get him into a special needs pre K program thru the district, you will notice a signifigant change. One of my boys ended up being miss DX and he actually has OCD with a speech delay. My other son is on the mild-medium side of the spectrum but shows all the signs you wrote above but it has gotten SOOOOOOO much better. I am not going to lie this will be a very rough road but you have to be proactive and be his biggest advocate, you need to be a warrior mommy. Start reading every book u can, try every fad for curing Autism, fish oil , GFCF diet, see what works. You might be on of the lucky ones that you son has a food allergy??????

I started a FB page for Triplet Families living with Autism, find us on FB just ask to join. I wanted a private place for us families that are dealing with this everyday with out lurkers.

If you want to contact me personally or talk, my email is laurenmercado@hotmail.com
