#8398, "Yay no more bottles! Now what?"
|
So my trio is just over 13 months, and we are finally off the bottle! They drink the milk out of straw cups, and are doing really well most days. They also eat finger foods. So how did your morning routine look once you dropped bottles? Our old routine was wake, bottle, then play for a while until breakfast. We tried the same routine except replacing bottle with straw cup, but they don't seem too interested first thing in the morning. My sons will take about half, and then I give the rest with breakfast, but my daughter will barely sip hers. Of course, she's always been our worst milk drinker-even on formula. I guess my question is...did you feed them breakfast with milk right away, or did you wait a while after they woke up? My main concern is that they need "down time" before morning nap so we usually go for a walk after breakfast. Obviously if I do breakfast earlier, I'll have a much longer period before nap (good old domino effect). I don't mind changing things up, but as you know with three babies someone's bound to get pissed about the change in routine, so I want to be smart about it! Thanks for your help!
