#9, "The NEW Tuesday Update"

Well, not much new, except...

WE HAVE THIS AWESOME NEW FORUM!

Persistance paid off, I guess? Thought I'd get the ball rolling since everyone else is off having a real life tonight.

And since I never answered the actual Tuesday Update: I'm still not done with costumes although I'm 1/2 done with Glinda's wand (yahoo) and I have a big project due Friday that I haven't started.

Stressed, much? I think I've been popping Tylenol by the hour to get rid of this headache. I do love a challenge!

I am super excited to see this forum! Yahoo!

Now for my dorko question---What are Tuesday updates??? Let's see if I can answer my own question--a running thread of what is new with everyone?

I am officially going to blame my cold medicine if this is the most stupid question ever asked on TC---well for sure ever asked on our new forum!!

My real life got cancelled tonight so I'll answer. Like I said on the other forum, Abby got sick this afternoon. Thankfully she seems to be much better now. She got sick a couple of times and then took a nap on DH. She started perking up after the nap. By bedtime she had some water and a bunch of saltines. Hopefully this was an isolated incident and not a preview of things to come with the other 2.

I'm still mad we had to cancel trick-or-treating at the mall. I was really looking forward to that. Now DH will miss their first trick-or-treat experience. That stinks. Oh well. As long as Abby is ok. I'm just glad I never told the kids they were going.

I am so happy that we finally have our own place!! Woo hooo!!!
I'm feeling for you. Last year I decided that I would make the costumes and I was working on them until the last minute. This year with school projects, papers, and regular work I decided that was not happening this year and I bought them.

It's Tuesday and I had a full day. Tristan and I are getting ready to go down and work on his closet organizers. He has a new bedroom and is loving it, I have spent so much time working on it that I am cramming for a project I have in one of my classes.

I hope all of you are having a fun filled Tuesday and I hope that those Oz costumes are coming along and you can whip them out tonight! Congrats on the wand!

Becca

Who has a real life & where can I get one?
Hope the Tylenol is helping you more than it has me!
I love the new forum!

My hat's off to you for trying to make costumes at all. That's very ambitious. I look at it like buying the prewashed and bagged lettuce. I know I'm paying more for less and the end product probably isn't as good, but the convenience of buying it already done is worth it. Having said that, the best costumes are those that are made. And the kinds of moms who make costumes make me extremely envious .

We had our first mini-Halloween event tonight. I teach at a university and all the residence halls host the kids/grandkids of the staff and faculty. So we marched our 3 munchkins through a dorm for all of about 30 minutes and then called it quits. CRAZY! But super fun. The kids were confused, I think, but seemed to have fun. One thing I noticed is that with my 3 dressed up, we actually got less attention. I think people don't realize they are triplets - maybe? Anyway, to be really honest I kinda missed it. Kinda. Like...a little bit.

I hope everyone has a great rest of your week!
