repeat one word in a row?! Is it really nessecary to say 'moon' 17 times?! Or anything else that catches their attention, they can't just say it once or twice. At any given time, the living room sounds like this:
(repeat for 90 seconds or until your brain explodes, whichever comes first) Anyone else's kids do this? I guess if I really think about it, it's probably just how they learn words. But DANG. I feel like my eyeball might pop out sometimes!
and so many others it is non stop at least 20 times in a row until I repeat it with them 5x.
It must be a huge time for their brain. My mom blames me for this, as I was so worried that they had a language delay I would constantly talk to them and repeat words of ANY objects I saw. So my mom says I overworked their brain and now they just cant stop talking and repeating words. Im so greatful for it but yet its hard on the ears.

Yep. Mine are 5 months older than yours and we are into "What's that/this?" We are not just talking about a car or an animal. We are talking about the letter on the cereal box, the hair on the little girl on the cereal box, the bar code LINE on the cereal box. It's maddening! But yes, you are right. It is totally just how they learn. This is yet another part of the multiple experience that is magnified and different than those with 1 child asking those questions over and over!

Thank goodness I'm not the only one! My kids are in the what stage too. They are driving me up the wall. What's that? What's the lady doing? What's the man's name? What you cooking for me? What's coming on next? Over and over All...Day...Long! I know it is how they learn but I'm getting tired of answering the same question 100 times a day.

LOL. I know the feeling. Our oldest got on this "grandma Betty's house" when my parents were here. Every two second he was repeating the phrase. My parents finally gave up and took the guys out to their Great Grandma Betty's for the evening. Their favorite thing besides the repeating is to repeat and change the stress/accent on the word each time. It is amazing how many diffient ways they can say "helicopter" or "dump truck".

Oh, they do that too! When they really get going with mama, mama, mommy, mama, mama, mommy, I usually break down and say "Can you say 'Jenny'?" Then it's "Denny, denny, denny, mama, denny, mama!"

When my nephew was about 5 yrs old he used to pull the Mama, Mama, Mama, Mama... trick on my sister. One day she looked at him and told he she was changing her name to Dam-it so that he couldn't say it anymore.
Chloe and Tabitha are hot on telling us NO! now. It doesn't come multiple times but it can make you as mad as hearing Mama a million times in a row.

This is the stage I'm in. Sometimes I think it's because there's always so much going on with 3 three year olds that they just don't weed out the sounds to hear me saying "yes" "what do you need" "yes" and instead they just keep saying it over... and over... and over...

Haha John, I hope they didn't pick 'no' from my kids...Today was a no-a-thon. By the way, Mitch was around a pretty little 20 month old on Thanksgiving, but he didn't even THINK about cheating on Chloe. He totally kept his lips to himself. Thought that might make you feel a little better about their relationship!
